Last year, my daughter’s class only received the stack of Chinese oral notes after the June holidays. If I rem correctly, it was given out a week before the O level oral exams, only after some parents feedback to form teacher on the lack of oral preparation by the Chinese teacher. So I’m glad to hear that the S3 girls are getting them much earlier this year 😊

2022 Sec 4 OP Higher Chinese students (born 2006 batch),
- who have taken the O-level (Standard Chinese or \" bu-hua \" ) Oral cum Listening Comprehension National exam in July 2021, last year
And
- who have also sat for their O-level (Standard Chinese) both Papers 1 (zuowen) and Paper 2, dated 10 November 2021 (last year) -
MOE is going to release your GCE O-level (Standard Chinese) results next week,
anytime from (12 to 14 January, 2022).
Congratulations,
if OP students have scored A1 to B3, in your O level (bu-hua).
Even if have scored B4 to C6, never mind,
our school still allow Sec 4 OP students to proceed to sit for their O-level (Higher Chinese or \" gao hua \"), in November. This way, you can discount your L1R5 by 2 points, for admission into a Junior College, after your clearance of O-level (HCL)
Thanks for the info!
My girl is in Sec 4 taking HMT and she’s received her MT (B3) today. Just wondering if she’s allowed to re-sit her MT exam this year to better her grade? -

I find the word \"opposition\" relatively offensive. Those are words used when you would like to adopt a \"divide and conquer\" strategy. If you remove \"oppositions\" and replaced it with \"Singaporeans\" in your sentence above, you will see things differently. \"Oppositions\" are, after all, nearly 40% of Singaporeans, a not-so-insignificant minority. Disenchantment and dissatisfaction with the current G and their policies are real. Current G appears to be living off the goodwill generated by their predecessors but haven't delivered on many of their past promises. Throw in a gaffe here and there, cookie cutter politicians - who don't seem to be held responsible for anything, somebody else's / the world's fault except theirs, mainstream media intend on being a G mouthpiece, intent on \"fixing opposition\", million dollar salary but proposing cable tie solution etc, is it any wonder why Singaporeans are rushing onto the online platforms and running down everything the G does? When Catherine Lim spoke about a \"crisis of trust\", the G supporters rush to defend and ridicule her but seriously, what she is saying isn't some figment of her imagination (writer she may be). There is no other boat, we are all on the same boat. Sometimes, it pays to listen to what the other passengers may say, even though you disagree with them. -
RE: PW results
zeemimi:
oh this darn PW. It's still around? Yes they should just scrap this subject and perhaps look and learn from IB for a more holistic curriculum and a fairer way of assessment.
Hi, there’s coursework( Internal Assessment) component for all subjects taken at the IB exams. These coursework comprises about 20% of the total IB grade for each subject. How this course work is assessed is very similar to PW. So I do not see how this can be fairer as mentioned above. :scratchhead: -

RE: Teachers to pay for parking at schools from Aug 1
Not all teachers hav kids. For this group of teachers, they have to pay for peak period accommodations and airfares because they can only travel during the school hols. I definitely do not envy them.
