OIC...ok for me is looking at it really literally Cos had really hoped to qualify for another school (elder brother there) but missed by 2 points so we didn't even put it as a choice. Now seeing MSHS COP from 12 to 14 makes me wonder if we should have tried our \"luck\".

Hi. Don't worry too much (MSHS or any other school). My guess is that the intake sizes were not adjusted and this year's smaller cohort meant that there were fewer students (in absolute number) at ALX, ALX+1, etc, etc (generally speaking).

The S1 posting under AL is also a bit tricky; if one saw the COP as AL12 last year then there may have been few brave souls willing to risk a choice with AL13. Hence, there is a bit of a vacuum and the computer keeps going down the list until all of the spots are filled.

FWIW, there are a few schools in this range that dropped a point or two. Means nothing...

I'm also curious why the COP can go up by 2 points in a year. Does it mean the standard drop?

Also,interesting to note that this year's COP went up by 2 points to AL14(PASS), any ideas why?
