DS is keen to apply for DSA to NHHS but the location of his primary school is a bit far - which is probably why we don’t have the invitation.
Hi, have you received the invitation from your P6 child's school?

Thanks hiya! Ds is required to buy the math book but he's not in the APEX class. Ds was told 3A is APEX. 3B is 'very good class'.
I only know P5 & P6 still have 2 APEX classes. Refer to your booklist, APEX classes will need to buy additional maths practice book, for hint on which classes are APEX. -
RE: Wellington Primary
Hi,
Anyone has any idea if there are one or two P3 APEX classes in WTPS next year? Someone from this thread says 2 classes of APEX classes but there seems to be only one class next year… -

Hi amberflo, my ds has been in Proteach for the past 2 years (P1 to P2) and will continue with Proteach next year. I think it is generally okay - they do check the students' organizers to see if they have homework. My ds never comes home with homework haha. They also allow the students to read and learn spelling during student care hours. During the school holidays, they organize outings which ds enjoys very much.
Hi,
Anyone able to share their experience with Proteach or Evangel? My girl will be in P1 next year. Thanks!!!!
Teachers are alright. What puzzles me is that the Proteach teachers keep changing. It seems like the staff turnover is very high. Ds doesn't care cuz it doesn't affect him at all.

RE: Club Only Child Club
Hello moms and dads!
Just chanced upon this site and I love it. I am a mom of my one and only boy, 4 yo this year.
When our boy was below 2, I used to think that maybe 2 to 3 kids are ideal so that they can have siblings to fall back on if anything happen in the future. However, our plans halted when we send our boy to childcare and calculated how expensive it will be if we have 2 or 3 (back then I didn’t work). So we didn’t plan for more. Now that I’m back in the workforce and we can afford to have more kids, our boy kind of got used to the full attention that he has always had and when asked if he wants a brother/sister, he’ll say no. So my husband and I accepted that we won’t have more kids if our son doesn’t want siblings.
However, sometimes we do see that our boy feels lonely… especially those moments when our energizer bunny kept bugging us to play with him when we’re really dead beat from work/housework. When we explain, he’ll walk away quietly, leaving us with this unexplainable sense of guilt. Then again, we do make it up to him by giving him what he wants, making efforts to take him out for sightseeing and trips over the weekends and on holidays at least twice a year. We also send him for classes and let him attend parties so that he has more chance to socialise, on top of the socialising he has in school.
Some people may argue that more kids are better (esp those nagging old folks:mad:) but now I think quality is more important than quantity. You may have more kids, yes… But what if you can’t even give them the proper upbringing they deserve? They can’t develop their full potential, and won’t be able to have a competitive edge above others. -

RE: 2017 P1 Registration Exercise for 2018 In-Take
Hi everyone! Great to find fellow parents here registering for P1 in the same year. I’m currently looking around to see which school is good for my boy.
#1 (& only)
Born Apr 2011
Living in Sembawang
Ideal will be P2B for St Andrew Jr and easier for my son to be at my parents’ place (but still >2km from registered address)
But if not possible, then just P2A at Bendemeer Pri, which is a normal neighborhood school and near to my parents’ place.
Prob won’t be able to put him at the schools near my house as we’re working parents and reach home a 8 plus daily.
Can I ask - what do you all look for when considering which Pri sch to send your child to?
