siblings , huge numbers from Y2004's born quaified on 2A), especially for CHS....

See Guangyang's surplus? 120 places... they only managed to form 1 class of 30 so far. I really dunno why they must keep this school since no one really wants to apply. Even if those in bishan lose the ballot, they are still going to AMK schools, not Guangyang. They keep this school for foreigners?

also curious, if every grade got 1 class, then total is only 6 classes in the whole school. :!: should be a lot of places not been used, wasted. if can contribute to ATS or CHS, almost no need ballot liao

Hi all, thank you so much all for your advice and concern. Just got back from registration. Guess what? We decided to give CHS another try. Same reasons as some parents have pointed out. If balloting is going to happen for KCPS and CHS, might as well go for CHS since that is still our first choice school. So really really pray that my son will be one of the blessed 9 to get in this time. Now already can not change our mind, just have to put it aside first and try to enjoy the coming long weekend first :lol:

Sigh... looking at the number is like looking at stock market. Now I still can't decide if I should take a safe bet to register at a school at AMK or risk 2C of balloting at KCPS or CHS. Can only pray hard now for a sign...

AMK school like townsville or TG, still got 2CS, since you 1km <ur place<2km, KCPS confirm ballot, maybe 20 seats for 50 applications, maybe lar..... so risk is also high, since all need ballot , and KCPS not
so easier for 1-2km, try CHS lah....
if not in, still have backup school in AMK....

but hope you can get in this round ballot ~~

Now thinking back, if I knew CHS phase 2b situation ahead of time (48 fighting for 9 seats), I wonder if I would still go for PV. Before signing up as PV, we did consider our chance of getting a place. But somehow we could not convince ourselves to give up as the school is so near and my son can just walk to school instead of going around the estate in a school bus 6 o'clock in the morning. May be smurf is right. If CHS does not accept PV, we would consider PV on other school like KCP or ATS and things would be different. I don't think I regret doing PV for CHS. It is a good experience and I can say at least I try :lol:

My friend also failed 2B. but I asked her whether change school for 2C, she said will continue to CHS. maybe she wants last try until no chance, backup school like AMK or townsville still accept 2C supp from the past history data.

The advantage of that route is that you don't have to PV for multiple schools. Once qualified, you can choose to register in phase 2B of any schools in the area.

I remember one thread share experience, that he want to be active community leader, but when interviewing time, he mentioned kid will
going to school, need that recommendation letter, the interviewer very
unhappy, coz he doubt the purpose of his joining, not truely want to do something for the community and for the ppl...

No, they did not post the information this time.
My guts is its about 50% of them within 1km.
The PVs who do not get a place during balloting will join the 1Km ballot again.
Its hard to tell if most PVs getting a place is staying within 1km, because it all depends on luck !

I guess.... if it's PV, almost all within 1km...
I went CHS and ATS earlier this year, and ask for PV issue. CHS if not
stay within 1km, difficult to get PV chance because 1-2 km PV is no chance to ballot from pass year history.
