Hi parents,
don't worry your kid is in good hands, the teachers are experienced and they will take good care of your kid. It is not advisable to \"loiter\" around the school compound as it may be a distraction to the kids and also security reason. I had seen 2 batches of P1 coming in as mine was the pioneer batch of P1 of this school and most of the kids did well on the first day with the guidance of the teachers. I know all of us will be anxious on how they do in their first day but we have to let the go and trust the teachers, so P1 parents just attend the talk and maybe just peep at your kids during breaks but do not hang outside their class just let them enjoy the next phase of their childhood life.

Yes, my husband and I will be taking leave on first 2 days of school. And I think there is a parenting talk on the 2nd day. But not sure whether we can loiter around the school compound or not.TDmum:
Hello all P1 parents , will u all be taking leave for the first 2 days of school open? Are we able to stay in the school?

RE: Palm View Primary
Welcome to Palmview Primary School, not all items are required in the book list so maybe you can uncheck those you think is not necessary and honestly for the last 3 years the teachers had not use any of those cards during lesson. The school is using the same chinese textbook for teaching so there is no different between higher chinese and normal chinese classes but after the 2nd semester there will be a split of the mother tongue classes for kids with different level of learning. Anyway, it’s just the beginning of your kid’s formal education, just relax and enjoy the journey with your kids.

Quizzer:
Hi,Hi Parents,
I have some questions for P3 parents whose kids participate in the school CCA.
Does the school allow your child to join 2 CCA?
eg, 1 sport and 1 club activity? Are there any crash in the CCA time table?
Thanks for reading.
at the moment P3 students are having their CCA during the school school hours every Wednesday and the can have only 1 CCA ie either in sports or those club activities. Hope this helps. -

Hi Karen,
yes you probably need to provide necessary document from HDB for verification anyway in most cases now you should be able to receive your keys earlier.karenyee:

Ya 100% firm on Palm View .
Anyone know if your current flats is not really can we just show our HDB letter to certify we have a unit just next door for enrolment . (NRIC still appear old address ) ? My flat at compassvale helm only ready Q4 2016 .
OR do I have to get other paperwork ready . -
RE: Palm View Primary
Hi Karenyee,
if you stay within 1km from the school your chances of enrolling your kid in is high, base on the last 2 year records all phase 2C applicants are successful so if your decision is firmed just go for it.karenyee:

RE: Palm View Primary
Welcome to the school, $2 is more then enough for your dotter. I only give my son #1.50 a day and $3 for his long day. All the logistics can actually settle on the orientation day itself so I will like to advise all new parents to allocate the whole day for this. For those Kiasu parents like myself you an actually go down to the uniform supplier(location is in the school webbie) to get their uniform first. That's the place where \"choke up\" the longest queue.
PineappleTart:
Thank you everybody. Will need to get her registered for after school care and make arrangements on the transport to school. Not forgetting getting her uniforms and also textbooks.
A lot of things to arrange, like how much to give her for pocket money. Is $5 too much per day? When I was primary school I only get $2/- per day.
