Based on our collective knowledge (a group of 8 mommies who applied for PV), location has no bearing in the selection. Some of us are selected even though we stay in the east. Some are within 1km but are not selected. So we know that distance was not a criteria used for PV selection.

I was told to use this website https://www.parliament.gov.sg/mps/find-mps-in-my-constituency and key in the school postal code. The MP and GRC will be shown there and if i'm not mistaken about the school postal code. The school should belong to Tanjong Pagar GRC.

Hi AudreyK, thanks for sharing. I learnt from a parent recently that his kid scoring 94% last year is in the top25%, not top 10%. At first, I found that shocking too.

The letters for stretch programme were given out in the first week of school but I thought the girls were selected based on their abilities and potential for the subject and the overall % is not a factor for consideration.

Is it possible that the GEP class make the score so skewed?

I think the quota number varies in each GRC and zone. I guess it depends on the area size and population in that area as well.

New Mom to my girl born in 2018. We started to learn about PV and Grassroots leader for our possible chance in the future Phase 2B. We are within the 1km distance to both Yu Neng and Red Swastika Primary school. However, we are not sure which CC we should apply for the Grassroots leader volunteer in order to be qualified for Red Swastika Phase 2B in the future:
1. Our place belongs to Aljunied GRC but Punggol CC, while Red Swastika is East Coast GRC and Fengshan CC. Can we still do the grassroots social volunteer under Fengshan CC to be qualified for Red Swastika Phase 2B? Or should we check with Punggol CC? <- you can apply any CC/GRC as long as they accept you to be executive member soonest. You will need to serve at least 2 years from the appointment date, meaning you need to be appointed before 1 July 2022.
2. Any church/clan that is affliated to Red Swastika?

Hi, a bit late to the bandwagon… but just to confirm a GRL can now apply to schools from any GRC as long as it’s within 2km. Is that correct? Was there any news article shared on this? I can’t believe I missed this!

if you are GRL just check with your zone PA. They can update you.

i know this is not published but any gurus have a sense of odd for RGPS 2C>2km? before and (forecasted) after the rule change. We have plan for 2B/2C/2CS but would need some advices to help our decision making. Thank you in advance... :thankyou:
