Hi, my son is considering to opt for CHS IP.
He did not do HMT in pri sch n his MT is pretty bad. I understand there’s a passing criteria of 50% in HMT to promote through IP.
If he fails HMT in Sec 1/2/3:
1. Wld he not be promoted and ask to leave IP and CHS totally?
2. Wld he be promoted, stay in IP but ask to do MT in CHS?
3. Wld he be promoted but transfer to O track and do MT in O track?
4. Wld he be promoted, stay in IP and continue to do HMT?

He will take a re-test for hcl before promoting. Generally most people can clear the 50% for hcl with ease and few people miss promotion criteria due to solely hcl.
