My gal received Edusave Merit Bursary certificates 2 years consecutively. However, it’s a mixed feeling when we received it. Partly because we don’t qualify for the monetary reward. MOE should review this award. Maybe MOE could give a certain % of $ for these deserving students whose family income exceeded the criteria/ income ceiling. It is a motivating factor too for these students to continue to excel. Furthermore, the formula used is based on income before CPF deduction; should use income after CPF deduction.
