I learnt that the pure IP schools ie those without O level stream start their days later than those schools with O level stream. Could someone share the time they start their days by schools? The reason of trying to find out this is transport and travelling time, another key consideration in school selection. Thanks

Is it rather generally a true statement that teachers in independent secondary schools tend to be more experienced and more enthusiastic in teaching as these schools hire each of them on their own? Thoughts are welcome.

In a comparison, School X without any affiliation with a COP of say AL10 vs School Y with COP of AL18 for affiliates while AL8 for non-affiliates, I wonder if the students of different AL scores are mixed for each express class, how different is the learning environment between School X and School Y? Note only 20% of the quota are reserved for non-affiliates in School Y. Theoretically overall the students in general in the former group are of better PSLE scores. Will it be more stressful in School X than in School Y? Any thought and experience to share? Thank you.
