      Hi Parents,

I am newbie here and thinking of registering my boy into MS...Any advise for new parents joining MS family? What to look out for? I read earlier posts about school bullies, many CCAs payable at max $200 per boy per year.....kinda scared already..... :yikes:

Hi , school bullies are not unique to MSHS. Many if not all schools have such headache, esp Boys Sch. We are probably more vocal about it.
However, your infor \" many CCAs payable at MAX $200 per boy per year \" Mayb a little misguided ...
** the amount is more likely to be \"per boy per HALF a year\". **

Thank you very much for the useful information. In general, any specific that parents needs to pay special attention in MS compared to other schools ?[/quote]

This is a Govt -aided school.
This is a SAP sch , = Both Eng & Chs are 1st language, hence P1-4 , the boys take Higher Chinese .
This is a Mission sch = Expect & appreciate prayers & gospel readings.
Primary sch canteen sells LOTS of fried food and empty calories snacks > potatoes chips & sweet drinks etc
Most Sports CCA are outsourced hence they are paying CCA > charged per hour . The top on the rank will be Badminton & Table tennis .
Most if not all of the excursions , 'mandatory' mag & newspapers subscription & online portal etc etc are not paid thru Edusave but by cash >> bulk collection at year end . Amt can be anything from $100++ to high end of $200++ per boy.
Last but not least , if u send & fetch your son by car .... either send super early at 6.40am and pick much later 35-40 min after dismissal or else :slapshead: :stompfeet:

:please: Welcome to the Big Family :grphug:

Anyone staying at Sengkang with your girls in Crescent? If yes, can kindly help to share what's the best way to reach CGS from SK?

      :thankyou:

That should be mrt to plaza singapura. Take the bus from
bus stop opposite park mall directly to CGS.

Another alternative will be taking the NE line from Sengkang MRT to Outram MRT , from there transfer to E/W line , 2 stops alight at Redhill MRT. Probably takes abt 50min for her to reach sch..

Could not find Besta’ s vocab bank nor their noun phrases bank.
      Creative has 43k & 16k respectively…

What are the school hours' for MS Pri? And what is a good time to reach school in the morning to avoid the traffic jams reported in the papers??

      School hours : 7.25 am - 1.15pm Mon & Tue
      7.25 am - 1.45pm Wed,Thur, FRI

Driving to school best time wil be by 6.40 am, hardly any Q.
School buses start coming in around 6.45am.

Pick up - Main gate opens for parents 20min after dismissal .
To avoid the jam, arrive 30min -35min after dismissal.
No point and too dangerous to pick your boy at the bus stop / pick up along the road ....

Best to train your son to take the MRT, right at the sch door step...save you the rising blood pressure   .....

and your son may even be home earlier than by car 😄

Sigh. No school bus for for DS this year due to lack to demand 😞 There are only 5 students who had requested for transportation from Simei/Tampines/Pasir Ris to-date.

I am reaching out to parents who will like to consider having the transportation service from the Simei/Tampines/Pasir Ris vicinity. Do call the bus uncle - Mr Michael (94339572).

Hopefully, there is enough demand ...
:? :? How come \"DS\" in Crescent GIRLS ? :scared:
Typo or have u posted on the wrong sch ?
