Pension scheme still exists. My hubby is on pension scheme. He can either opt to take out one lump sum or collect a monthly pension for the rest of his life upon retirement. It has been replaced by CPF. In fact for most stat board employees doesn't even have permanent employment but just contract basis renewable every year or couple of years.
So working in government jobs does not have iron rice bowl anymore.

Highest authority in MOE who approves policies on PSLE, bet they can't do the questions themselves.
Foreign students receiving scholarships in NUS can't do the questions
