      Hi,

Does anyone know what are the activities in-placed for next Monday reporting to DHS ? I believe we should be buying the uniform and textbook on that day ? Should the child be reporting in their primary school uniform ?

      Thanks in advance...

According to my dd, there will be a Principal's talk in the hall followed by purchasing of uniform & textbooks. But if you don't want to queue, you can always go back another day to buy them.
Yes, child should report in Pri sch uniform

Any idea how long will be the talk? So if do not want to queue for uniform and books, we can leave after the talk?

      Hi to all,

Is it true that there is one or two \"gifted\" class in DHS for each level?

It is called gifted but the students are really chosen at random (unless your results are chingchonglinglongtingtongpingPong-ly good I have friends who scored 256 and got into the gifted class. Those two classes' students will do more work than normal Dhs students and will kinda be more motivated to study because of the \"gifted\" thing they will have to live up to. And they have better teachers...? Not sure about that XD

Any idea which two classes are \"gifted\"?

    • RE: NJC vs DHS

I’m the one who DSA for her to DHS cause my niece and nephew are there. I feel it’s a good school so I applied for her, hoping she will change her mind.

She don't like SAP school. But since it's already under waiting list, chances are quite high to convert to CO.

Well, will see how she do in the PSLE and discuss with her.

      Thanks for all the advise.

      :thankyou:

Thanks for posting this because we are also evaluating these two schools. We would like to hear more views too.

FYI, NJC will be having another open house on 19 Oct. We have signed up for a session.
But we will be going overseas on that day, hence unable to attend the open
house. Can share with me after you attend?

So, what's your view on these two schools?
