My maid left abt 2mths ago. I send my 18mths and 4yr old DDs to cc and my 9yr to student care. Since then, my expenses are double. My DH travel frequently so I hand to do everything myself.
Frankly, I am exhausted even with meticulous planning from cooking to cleaning. If the kids are sick, all goes haywire. Not much time to play or tutor my kids.
Even when the maid was around, my kids are train to put dirty clothe in the laudry basket and utensils etc in the sink. At times, I will also make them cleanup their room.
I agree that back in the old days, our mums can manage without maids. Back then, we have good neighbours and most mums are not working and can help out. Plus they donβt have much choice like now.
Anyway, I am getting a maid again.
Just sharing.
