      List updated:

      1. Henry Park: 1 class (drop from 2 classes)
      2. St Hilda: 1 class (drop from 2 classes)
      3. RGS: 2 classes (drop from 3 classes)
      4. NYPS: still 4 classes
      5. Rosyth: still 3 classes
      6. Tao Nan: still 3 classes
      7. Nan Hua: still 2 classes
      8. Catholic High: still 2 classes
      9. ACS: Still 2 classes

      Total: Reduction of 3 classes

My gut feel is that the reduction of 3 classes does not necessarily equate to a decrease of 75 students. I know that for HPPS, in recent years the 2 classes were only slightly more than half filled. Not sure about the other 2 schs.

For all we know, this reduction could be an exercise on 'efficiency'.

Yes, the same for SHPS, the prev year, they had 2 classes with approx 14-15 students in each class. This year they have a total of 26 in one class, so not much of a difference in terms of no. of students.

Dear parents, need your advice here. The long list of ERP books make me really nervous! To begin with, my DS does not like to read and all the while, I am the one pushing or rather forcing him to read. He only likes science comics! This probably explains why from P3, he started to fare badly for his compositions. On average, how many books are the kids expected to read over the 1 year? Do you have any recommendation on a few titles (preferably books not more than 200 pages) that a 9 year old boy might be interested?

The 2 titles by Roald Dahl (Matilda and BFG) are pretty fun and easy to read. The BFG movie is coming soon to the theaters as well, so you can probably spark DS interest by showing him the movie trailer (available on YouTube) then encourage him to read the book 🙂

Hi, St. Hilda’s has only one class with 26 students this year, they used to have 2 in prev years.
