Am from Mt Emily Centre. There isn’t any notice that Pats is going to increase sch fees… I thought they have just increase $75 this yr for the full day program??? $1,700+ is way too much!

      Hi Empressplace,

yes, i do agree that when they start school early, they will tend to get sick easily. My DD was like sick every mth initially! Scary! Now is getting \"better\", once every 2-3 month. But her recent one was quite bad.
Hope that when she progress to playgroup, she will get stronger. 🙏

For my case, and the same with my gfs, we are all working mummy.
In the day, theres only maid or grandparents at home. So we rather send our kids to school to interact and at least learn something.

Interestingly, our common complaints were, the children will be at home watching TV the whole day if left with helps or grandparents.
Guess its the same for the rest of my DD's classmates who are in the toddlers class (2 years old).
Notice that almost all of them have helpers yet the parents rather put them in school.
I would vote for children to attend pre sch early. Yes, it is quite pitiful for the children to get into \"sch\" life early. However, toddlers like 2 or 3 years old dont really study when they go CC. They learn songs, play with other children etc. I think these r very gd activities and make them outgoing. It is better than keeping them at home watching tv and probably no one to play with at home. 😉

      Hi Crystalbelle08

Just spoke to Ms Tanya. She is having 28 children in PG next yr, so there will be 2 classes of 14 children each. As for the classroom, 1 PG class will be in the new room while the other PG class will be in the big hall.

Hope both our kids are in the classroom setting...

      Hi Crystalbelle08

Hope ur DD is feeling better.

So our PG left with 3 vacancies? I have a strong feeling that we are going to have 21 children for PG next yr...

      Thanks Shiyunu,
She is happily back in school now.

Actually, I am very confused over the number of students in the class now.
As the students are mostly \"international\", its common to have kids going back to their countries.
Also heard that some parents were on waiting lists to their international schools so once they are accepted, they will move over.

I dunno how many children left her class last month.
But from the latest newsletter, there were 3 new kids in Sep for her class.

      Hi Crystallbelle08

Glad to know that ur dd is well and settle back in sch.

I think i better call Tanya tmr & ask her about the class size. Am really curious to know.

Has the renovation complete? Want to visit the sch with my dd again after the renovation.

Wow, i didn't see any replies for some time, went away for awhile and now suddenly so many replies!! Ha ha

Yes yes there are at least 3 of us here in KSF whose 2008 babies are going to be in PG next year!! Fun right 😎 Tanya didn't tell me how many there were, but she did mention there were only 3 spaces left after i registered... Thus if there are suddenly going to be many more parents enquiring about PG class then she'll have to open up another class for PG. Right now, there is just one PG class (max 14 kids, 2 teachers).

My daughter will only start in Feb or March though!! So you can look out for me, ya? 😉

Hmm... i'm wondering whether the grandfather i saw was Preciousmoments' dad/FIL... heh heh

      :

      Hi Koolmama,
My DD is not feeling well recently, so didnt really log in to KSP forum. The flu bug is vicious this round 😢

Oh...why are you starting your DD later?
Can consider coming in earlier, I am sure your DD will love school.
You going for full day or half day?
Left with 3 places... hmmm...hope they really keep their students at 14 max.

There should be around 10 exising students moving up to PG.
A few of the children in her current group are either moving back to their country of origin or transferring to other school.
      Btw, are you a local?

      Hi Crystalbelle08

Hope ur DD is feeling better.

      Hi,

Understand from Tanya that they provide UHT milk to all children. However, u can also bring ur own milk. They will also change into new clothes after shower.

      Hi Preciousmoments,
I agree with debpch, 1.5hrs is too long.
In fact, the driver told me mine would be around 1 hour as he need to send those in orchard area home first.
1 hour is already very long to me.
For us, we dont have a choice as we are not able to pick her up on time.
Let's hope the school can have 1 more driver to cater to the north/north easteners

Currently they only have 2 driver for the morn- home to school route
As for the school to home route, there is
      2 driver for the 12pm
      1 or 2 driver for the 3pm
      1 driver for the 5pm
Actually all in all, there is only 2 drivers. So they will come to and fro to pick kids from different sessions.

I agree, 1.5 hours on the school bus is much too long for a kid. Sigh, looks like I'll have to rush off from work everyday next year.

Crystalbelle, where do you stay for your bus journey to take 1 hour?

Can I check, after shower, do the kids change to new set of clothes or they wear what they wore in the mornings?

And for the older K1 and K2 children, do they still drink milk in school? School's milk or kid's own milk?

Forgot to clarify my queries with Tanya when we registered.

No prb keas. Have u decided which centre to go to? Most of their centres are full. The schedule is based on what the principal from Mt Emily has advise so i am unsure if other centres are doin the same. U might want to check. But i think usually nap time is quite early. The kids usually get grouchy after meals…

Hi mummies, may I know the nap time for all Pat's centers is from 3-5pm or only at Whitley?

      Thanks!
      Hi

I think their nap time is 1-3pm followed by snack time and grp activities. Noted that the older children do not have nap, however, given an hr of rest after their afternoon class...

How abt bottle feeding? My gal has a habit to drink milk from the milk bottle before she naps. She also refuses to drink milk from a cup. Heard from Tanya from Mt Emily that they don encourage bottle feeding which i agree. But i am worried that my gal can’t get used to it when she naps in the sch. Dono wat to do…
