If you plan to go Taiwan/Tai Chung this coming Nov school holiday, you can consider some of our itinerary which we have catered for our three children 10 to 14 last year. Here are some interesting places that we visited in Tai Chung/ Taipei :

      King's Garden

At the Travel Revolution 2016, you can visit CTC booths. They have organised some activities with the Taiwan Farm Association e.g. Enjoy tasty Taiwanese treats and try your hands at Taiwanese handicraft.

You can try the Tou Cheng Farm's noodle with its special chilli.

    • RE: Travel: Taiwan - Taipei

I've created a simple travel blog to share on our Nov trip to Taipei and Tai Chung. We are mainly travelling by public transport except for 2 days in Nantou and Xinshe where we hired a driver.

If you are planning to travel to these places F&E, can take a look at my blog. I'm sharing tips and the essential information which will make your planning simple and easy.

There are some unique places that we came to know of when we googled the Taiwanese's blogs and they are mainly frequent by the locals. Even if you have been to Taiwan before, you may see places which you have not been to. For example :

      Xin She Flower Festival

Ma Li Pu Wall Mural - beautiful wall painting about rural life

You can consider Cosmo Hotel. It’s just above Taipei Main Station. They have family room with 2 double beds. But need to book early as they are quite popular. So far, those that I recommended found it very convenient.

      Flying Cow Ranch

just to share my experience with the booking system. I intend to book the room for 5 pax. However, note that the booking slot is not open for this room type. Hence I leave them a comment in the ‘contact us’. They responded within a day asking for the period of stay and the type of accommodation (based on no. of pax). After that, they email me a link for the booking. I guess they may have reserved the room for tour agency.

My family spent a wonderful day there and we totally enjoyed it. As we went on a weekday, there is hardly any visitors. My children got to milk the cow as many times as they want and also feed the calf using milk bottle. They also fed the ducks as well. There is a small playground nearby and they had a good time playing there. At night, we joined their activity to make the local kueh and we all have fun. Take note that if your child is interested in riding horse, only available on weekends. My gal was kind of disappointed.
The room is spacious and they have internet TV as well as computer at the living area. However, the breakfast is not nice. We just ate a little.

Any hotel recommendation for family of 5 (2A and 3C - 7,8 and 10). Note that most hotels only allow max 4 for family room. Do they charge the extra person even for a child? I’m looking for hotel near XMD or Taipei main station. Thanks a lot.
