Maybe you can go to the school, perhaps tell the security guard that you want to go to the bookstore or something... then scan at the prices of food at the canteen.
Are you preparing bread for your dd who will be p1? If so, you can even reduce the pocket money because she is most likely ended up buying drinks, pencils, erasers, stickers etc. Just let her be for a short while as this is part of the growing up process.
(During the recess, the kids will crowd at the bookshop to look-see, buy things...)
If this gets out of control ie continue to spend $$ on stickers, then you may have to exercise some control...

I'll need to drop by the school to submit the GIRO form... will take the opportunity to check out the canteen :xedfingers:

Will probably prepare bread or sandwiches for her on alternate days... cos she's a fussy eater

As for the inevitable \"growing up\" process... hehe... will observe and act accordingly.

I think $1.50 for p1 is enough as there is only 1 recess.

When you are in the school, do take a look at the prices of food in the canteen to have a feel how much to give.
Also, it is the time to cultivate the good habit of saving for rainy days.
My p6 dd has only $1.80 per day. She eats bread during recess, takes her lunch in school and still have some leftover provided not buying drinks & other tit-bits etc.

Unfortunately the tuckshop was closed during DD's orientation so unable to check out the prices of the food there.
Probably will drop by to check it out these 2 days before the school closed.

My understanding from the principal during my DD's P1 orientation last Sat is that Rulang will only select 20 as their PVs.

To be sure, it's better to contact them directly.

Strange that Rulang is taking in 20PV eventhou one og those PV is staying more than 1km away from the sch. How i know coz i happen to know one of the PV.

Probably the PV selection criterias are not based on distant but rather proficiencies in certain fields.
