I see. But if I put Zhonghua Secondary for my dd's first choice, would she have a chance to get in? her score is 230 and the COP is 234.. 4 points difference.

You can try, but I don't think there's a chance to get in. I think a movement of 4 points is really massive. There's no harm putting it there, though, so long as you have in one of your later choices a school in which you are 3-4 points clear because you will definitely get that school even at 6th choice since posting is based on merit.

ahh.. What about Kuo Chuan Presbyterian? COP 229. Can?

ps. sorry for bothering you with so many questions. i'm very clueless at this section šŸ˜“ šŸ˜“

      hi all.

(very frantic mummy here 😢 )

my dd got 230 for psle and we are considering to have her choices as her following
      1. Zhonghua Secondary School (234)
      2. Presbyterian High Sch (233)
      3. Kuo Chuan Presbyterian (229)
      4. ??
      5. ??
      6. ??
does anyone have any suggestions for choices 4-6?

on the other hand, my ds got 263+2 for psle.. I'm not sure if i should place him in dhs with his older brother who is currently in dhs or i should have his choices be the same as dd's as they both are twins and from young they have always been very close and I am afraid dd won't be able to adapt to the unfamiliar faces and environment at the school she is allocated to..

Can any experienced parent help?? very worried as today is already the 24th :gloomy: :gloomy:

My view for your DS is to let him try HCI or RI. He's good enough for those schools and I think it is good to let these schools stretch him.

For your dd, I think you might want to consider the schools nearer to home.

How can no one consider CHIJ Toa Payoh?

IJTP is a very good school. i heard from dd2 that lots of p6s from ijtp (primary) are choosing IJTP as their first choice.

might not have many spaces left..

even the pupils that scored 250, 252, are also placing IJTP as their first choice 🤷

do you have a daughter studying at CHIJ currently?

If the COP is 236 n your score is 230, its a high difference of 6 points. You will definitely not be able to get in.

Why not try a school closer to your score?
what about Zhonghua (234) and Presbyterian (233)? got chance? :nailbite:

my dd got 230 and we are considering to put Chung Cheng High School (Yishun) as her first choice..

do you think we should risk it??
COP is 236.. not really that high chance but should we take the leap??

can more experienced parents out there give some advice please! thanks :gloomy:
