Hi,

Can I know what is DHS mobile phone policy?
1. Are the students supposed to keep the phones with them all the time?
2. Are the students allowed to keep the phones in the school bags?
3. Are the students allowed to use the phones during school time?
4. Do mobile phones have to be switched off during school time?
Thanks in advance.
I am super impressed with so many kids with such stellar results and awards.

DD is a plain Jane in comparison. Mainstream with overall 340/400 results.
Normal prefect (Non Exco) and CCA member (non Exco). Only 1 award - SMBO.
Really appreciate that NYGH/ DHS are willing to shortlist her and even give her WL/ CO.
Whatever it is, she is my dear girl, a girl I am proud of whatever small achievements she has.
Whatever her PSLE results, I am thankful to be her plain mummy in accompaniment.

Congratulations! Which domains your DD CO for DHS?

Bilingual
Hi What The,
My child also got a CO frm DHS bilingual. Do you know what is the commitment they must agree to if they accept the offer? And how long? Thanks 🙂

Hi,

My child just got CO under dsa language.
What does he have to commit to if he takes up the offer? What if he doesnt do well in the commitment, will he be kicked out of the school? Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Does anyone know which is/are the best classes for Primary 5 next year?
My son is from 4I this year, he said majority of his class is going to 5I but the top 3 in level are going to 5H. How do they do the placement?
There is no 5J class and next year’s 5H and 5I will be having 40 students each. Does that mean there are classes with less than 35 students?
Thanks.

Hi,

Does anyone know if 3I is still the best class for 2015? Still only 1 best class?
There is no p2 to p3 transition talk this year, so I am not sure what is going to happen for p3. Are the kids going to have different classes for each subject? My son’s p2 class shares the classroom with a p4 class and he saw that there are writings on board like MA1 etc. So he thinks there are different classes.
Is science an examinable subject in p3? What is the reporting time for the morning session? And what time do they finish school?
also for CCA, are they allowed to change every year? Just received the form but not sure what to choose.

Hi all,

My son is in p2 now. I heard that in p3, there will be only 9 classes instead of 11. May I know how will they be streamed into these classes?
And at what other levels are there streaming and based on what? Overall score or particular subjects? Thanks in advance.

Yes, my son could recognize that they are from a certain primary one class. But it would not be right for me to name it here.

Another question is, according to the rules, the kids are supposed to be in the hall by 1220. What if the kids are still at the canteen taking their lunch etc? Will the teachers come and look for them? Or will they be considered late for school?

My son is in P1 now. Today he told me that in January, when he was playing with his friend before school in the parade square, about 4 boys from another P1 class approached them and fight. He said the boys kicked him and so he fought back to defend himself. Then today, one of those boys blocked his way while he was walking to the hall and wanted to fight but my son told him he is not going to the parade square and walked off.

After hearing this, I was so shocked. They are only at P1, why are there students approaching others to fight? I told my son, that he should not even stand there and let them kick and then fight back, he should just run away and tell teacher. But I am truly shocked that this can happen in school.

Anyone else heard of this kind of thing?
