All other schools COP is low. It all depends on the cohort. Generally, the range of T-Score is quite wide as compare to previous year.

Yep. T-score range is very wide this year probably because the Maths paper was extra tough, plus some may have bungled the Chinese oral (Farewell Teacher!). Those who are very strong in Maths & Chinese pulled streets ahead of the rest while the weaker ones fell behind badly. Even the lowest aggregate was extra low this year. 😢

RI's COP is 259 this year. Most likely a historical low for the school.

Are you sure or is this a guess?

You can confirm this when you report to RI tomorrow. The school will most likely reveal the COP. 😄

For NY; does the score 263 includes HTML? meaning the COP is only 261? Kindly confirm. THANKS.
You are right that it includes HMT. But I think the COP should be 260 plus 2 or 3, depending on HMT results. :celebrate:

Yes ... partly because COP dropped & most were conservative about first choice. See later lah... if your dream school dropped significaant & you didn't aim for it , there will be unhappy parents here....by 9 AM

Interesting ... we shall see ... especially now RGS COP is only 260 ...

How many parents would have thought RGS will go all the way to 260? from 267 of last year
RGS COP was 263 last year. 267 was the year before. 😄

• RE: Secondary School CCA

James Ang:
CCA is another competitive area for top O levels students to fight for the exclusive 2 point bonus to get into a Top JC, besides the HMT 2 point bonus and affiliation 2 point bonus. That's why the COP score to get into Top JC is always 2 points and not all of them can get in because the IP students have priority booking place already.

Just wondering - What is the importance or significance of LEAPS in IP schools, where pupils already have a place in the respective JCs? Would appreciate if anyone could clarify. Thanks. 😄

• RE: Raffles Girls' School (Secondary) [*IP]

Hi dawnpingpong, unflappable chicken,

I understand that you are both current RGS girls. Thanks for your previous sharing.

Other than academics, I would like to find out more about leadership opportunities and roles available to Sec 1 girls eg. class chairperson/vice chairperson/student leaders etc. (any others?)
1. Can interested pupils apply for the various posts? How are selections made?
2. Is there a fixed number of vacancies per class or do numbers vary depending on the quality of the candidates?
3. Are class chairpersons changed every term like in some Sec schools or do they remain for the whole year?
4. Do student leaders continue in Sec 2?
5. What about peer leaders and the student congress - are they open to Sec 1s?

I would greatly appreciate any sharing on this topic from any RGS girls or their parents. Thank you in advance.

Cheers

KSP:
I heard RGPS has done very well in this year PSLE. More than 30% got 270 and above. :rahrah:

Perhaps, it was 30% of the GEP girls who scored 270 and above. This seems more likely than 30% of the entire school population. I heard from a friend that this year's RGPS GEPpers did extremely well, with 13 in the top 15 list (at least 277) and many others scoring above 270.

Cheers 😄

285

Thanks father_of_3. I noticed that the top 2 in Nan Hua made it to the list of top 13 pupils in Singapore. Did both of them get 285 ?

Cheers! 😄
