No matter how gifted a child, parents are at the back giving 100% support to them..all the best to every child - the parents should have put in equal or more hard work behind the scene.Smartiepants88\" post_id=\"2000577\" time=\"1603877138\" user_id=\"179035:Regardless of if the kids went thru rd 2 anot, they will receive an envelope. Brown | Qualified for GEP, White | Didn’t qualify. However, the letter will be very encouraging. It depends on the school how they want to administer the giving out of the letters. Some call them out in private to distribute it, others give out openly in the class.
A pat on the parents' back too.
Seriously, a gifted child will not be gifted, without parents intervention. Once a child has a certain level of intelligence, with the help of parents, they can easily be pushed to the gifted range at P3.
However, a naturally born gifted child are totally different.. They can absorb any information that is being thrown at them quickly, with 1 or 2 repetition.. And obtaining reasonable results in competition with just knowing that information for few months. Therefore, distraction of gifted child is necessarily to divert their energy and attention to something else, to create a win-win situation for parents, teachers, and society.
Sometimes, I wonder why parents would want to spent lots of money just to put their child in GEP programme. Normally, gifted children are associated with ADHD, asperger or autism. Would mixing normal kids with gifted kids, making them much more smarter?? :?
