cca selection is limited. If your child happens to be in a school cca, that is fine but if your child wants to swim, run or do a cca that is not offered by the school, you will find there is very little support.
sports day not held at stadium but in school.
the standardised icas /university of new South Wales exams is no longer offered.
that said, the teachers are caring. there is a committed praying parents group. the girls learn good values -

hi yellow belt. … yr child is doing swimming compettively? pleaae contact me asap as we are finalizing registration of smps swimmers for the inter school meet next month. We have been having centralized training since last month to get girls from different swimming clubs to coordinate for the relay.
New principal and hod for cca less supportive of swimming and other non school cca. In the past, if the girls cd show they were attending training regularly, they didn’t need to take a school cca in addition to swimming. now they have changed the policy.
If yr daughter still wants to swim competitively, best to pick a lighter cca that she can do in addition to her swimming training
some of the smps swimmers are in choir or band which is a rather heavy duty cca which meets 2x a week for 2 hrs each time. However the girls enjoy it…so as long as they can juggle swimming with the school cca and homework. .that’s ok -

There is a bus no 139 from sunshine plaza to river valley…depends on where you stay and whether you are comfortable with your girl taking public transport

p4 homework varies depending on teachers. cca is after school. The school has official cca… Some students do external cca like swimming…but these are not formally recognize by the school, unfortunately

There is a swimming board in the school near the bookshop. Swimming is not an official CCA. however about 20 girls do swimming training under various clubs. They also swim for SMPS in the inter-school meet in april. In 2014, the SMPS Division D won the Bronze trophy - more info at https://borntoswim99.wordpress.com/

Hi, I recalled the optional CCA for P1 are Tennis, Bowling and Swimming. Teacher will be handing out the forms to all kids and they can decide whether they are keen to participate. Something to note that parents will need to make separate transport arrangement to pick up their kids from CCA as those are held outside of school.bbhippo:
Hi,
Any parents know whether there are any optional enrichment programs for P1 to join such as Ballet, Gymnastics, Tennis & etc? if so, how do we sign up for such program? -
