MOST IF THE CCA seats are reduced drastically. Some are ceased already

Due to # of DSA seats reduced, I wonder how RGS decided to close down Judo, and not other Sports.

Is it because Judo is not popular in terms of number of participants, compared to other type of Sports inside the school ?

Hi, I'm a student and the principal actually held a talk about this (not specifically, Mrs Poh addressed \"general\" stuff). It's been a while since the school selected which CCAs to stop (I think it was last year) so I don't remember much from the talk, but I remember that they made decisions based on a number of criteria. The student executivee committee of my CCA had to fill up some forms regarding the criteria; I remember two of them - achievements and intake. But you can expect the criteria to be achievements, resources available, etc. Hope my reply helped!

Hi, does anyone know what is the benchmark GPA for top 25%? Is the top 25% mostly taken by the GEPs? Thanks!

Hi, if I am in an independent school and am under EESIS, am I still eligible for Education Merit Bursary? And when are recipients notified? Thanks!

Principal shared at RGS reporting day today — cut off point this year rose by one point to 261, and the school took in five more students as compared to last year. šŸ˜„

Hello, is it possible to take on third language despite opting out during S1 posting (nervous and rash)? E.g. asking the school?

      :thankyou:

      Hi mummies,

Which 3rd language is better? French, Japanese, German or Spanish?
Is it too heavy to take 3rd language?
It depends on your child's forte. If he/she's good in languages, then I say go for it! šŸ™‚ If he/she's not performing that well (in languages), you may want to discuss with him/her and people like his/her tutors. Personally, my child scored in the 260 range but did not opt for third language. It depends on every child'S strength and weaknesses. Make sure that your child can cope before opting for third language! šŸ™‚

      Hi

For synthesis and transformation marking, if the whole sentence is correct except one word is wrong, e.g correct word is was dealing, but put dealt instead. Will 1 marks be giving?

      Thanks!
      yes
