    • RE: ABA Therapy

May I know roughly how long and how intensive is the programme is needed to see improvement?

The ABA therapy charges are really high. My son is going to Mainstream next year, high functioning and we just found out he has strong traits of it. A/W assessment and IQ test, guess the consultant is looking at Pathlight but did not say a thing yet. Besides ASD, he also has traits of ADD, which the doc mentioned the medication may be helpful for his behavioural issues as well as impulsiveness. He is smart, can express very well but lack of social skill.
      our plan
      - private OT (work on sensory, regulation, behavioural) on weekly basis
      - Behavioural OT - 2 times a month arranged by CDU
      - Private social skill group using ABA method - 2 hourly weekly

Any suggestions or recommendations are welcomed, do share more information with me.

our son will be in k1 in 2014, which means we have a year to decide which primary school we want to send him to. The thing is, we are staying within 1km from

      - Qifa Pri
      -Nan Hua Pri
      - Clementi Pri

Which one should we go for? May I know if we can visit the school? Any open house and on which month of the year?

      Thanks.

Mommies, I just sent in a request to tour Early Years Montessori. It is pretty near our new place in west coast area. My son will be in K1 by next year. He knows his phonics and knows a few sight words, but not reading. I know Montessori schools have reading program, may I ask, do you send your children for "reading program" besides after school?

    • RE: Myanmar maids

Not fresh maid exactly. Transfer maid due to some law case for prev emp(work in shop).

SHe came with a phone, claimed that it was from her prev emp. They treated her nicely, gave her coke and clothes.

I asked agent about her request and agent said if wanna meet, meet at our place. I told her, she started tearing like as if I locked her up. Today asked her if she knows she doesn’t have day off, said yes. Asked if she was forced to no day off, she said no, she doesn’t want day off. Really can die. Then tell me her cousin (it is not her aunty now) knew our decision of not letting her go out and she is not coming to meet her at our place also.

This morning black face till 1pm, I cannot tahan then asked her if she has anything to tell me. She said nothing and said don’t know how to express. Later on, pretend like nothing happened. I am very sore over this as my hub was not understanding my concern and said something like I should give her freedom.

I wanna knock my head on the wall. Because of this request, now I fall out with my hub!

    • RE: Myanmar maids

Burmese maid with us for 4 months. Cleaning - good, English - average. Basically everything is acceptable except she loves to show angry face. With Hp, spent about 28-56 per month topping up. She said called back Myanmar v expensive.

Today, told me she wants to Go city hall meet her Aunty. Said Aunty going back to Myanmar. In my heart, I am so reluctant to say yes but hubby said ok. He suggests to send her to cityhall and we go shopping, meet her hours later to send her back. I don’t know if this is appropriate. I know she is also human, naturally will want to see her friends but to me, Hp is the last thing I can tolerate. See, I didn’t even bother who she calls as long as works done at home.

I am also worry this req may be ask again in near future. I also know if I say no, she will be very unhappy.

      How?
