Hi I am new to sg syllabus. My kid has got into the Nus …is eligible for hmt and foreign language.
Can some one experienced please tell me the benefit of taking up these two additional work load…does it give any merit points in the future…of course apart from the obvious knowledge acquired. Thank you.

RE: All About Math Olympiad Training & Questions
Can any of you be kind enough to let me know if there is a way to ask or request for revaluation on this paper if the kid feels they have done extraordinarily well and yet did not get a bronze? Also, the child’s track record is good in math so far.

RE: All About Math Olympiad Training & Questions
Hi
My kid attended NMOS in 2018 (P5). Towards the last week of 2018, we received her silver certificate. Just came to know last week from another mom that silver will be awarded only if the kid is selected for Round 2. However, my child was never told by the school she was selected for round 2 last year. We, in fact, were surprised to receive a silver end of the year as we thought she was not receiving any award at all. Does this all indicate school has missed to inform her that she was selected for round 2? -

Thank you for the feedback. Much appreciated.
While no one can stop you from trying, IMHO her chances are not good.Sosu18:
Hi Parents
Can any parent kindly advise?
My girl in GE and also currently CCA leader in the oratorical club of primary school. she also went up till finals for a national level public speaking competition last year.
Is it a good idea to approach RG Dsa in the CCA criteria ? Will she stand a chance? Thank you for any thoughts you can share.
Based on RGS DSA talent areas offered in 2018 (doubt much changes for 2019), debate / public speaking is not one of them. Neither is Leadership a category that they offer as well. The square peg isn't going to fit in a round hole. The next closest fit for her could be the language categories - English or Chinese but that will largely be dependent on her school results. -
