The wordings on the consent form makes people uncomfortable and obviously it is drafted by lawyers with all the "politically correct" wordings protecting the school.


But i remember seeing similar conditions stated somewhere (i forgot where) before my child’s admission in Year 1. Therefore the content is not new to me.

Maybe the school should HIGHLIGHT this condition before the student is admitted to SOTA and whoever choose to enter is deem to have accepted it.

And this time, the communication with parents could have been done better.

Hi Shinobi, that was one of my concerns too. But I guess my daughter is compensated by satisfaction in her Art form subject which is something she can't achieve in enrichment classes outside. There is always a trade off in everything so we are prepared to give n take

Dear Shinobi, I feel that for a child with 20x, it is not easy for both IB and O level route, especially in the first half year. Both required a lot of hard work. For a child with 23x, I think it’s not a problem for him/her.


As for workload, SOTA’s first 2 years are very manageable. After that work will be getting more demanding. I think mainstream will have more workload in terms of quantity.

In my opinion, I think the median is about 23X, because the students’ results span from 20X to 26X.

Walking from PP MRT to Cedar via Wan Tho Ave will take 10-15 minutes (no covered walkway). Many students choose to walk from Upp Aljunied Road from bus stop (which has number 100, 135, 155), there is a covered walkway for this route.


My dd used the laptop in Sec 1 and 2 only, for the rest of the time it is used for watching youtube & other social medias

"Popular" means one that is liken by many people. Like i said i often see (1) and (2) in the CVs, means they are more popular than (3) & (4).
