Hi,
I would really love to let my dd try out ballet. But she is wearing spectacle now. Would it be a problem? She is 5plus. Thanks. -

They both share the same secondary affiliation to St Joseph's Convent. No big difference in academic standard in my opinion. I would use distance as the deciding factor.
Is st Joseph's Convent a gd secondary school? -

Hi hellokittyspore,
If you refers to the statistical information on Singapore's birth rate, you will know that it will be more competitive as compared to this year. ->

Based on this year's result if you are staying beyond 2KM, there will be risk. You need to start planning for alternative school as well in case you did not get a seat in phase 2B.
Thanks for your information. Had started looking for alternative school in my area after knowing there is balloting for this yr. -
RE: Maha Bodhi
I am staying beyond 2km. So there shd be some risk right?

RE: Maha Bodhi
Ok... but however for those staying within 1km still have higher chance than those tat stay >2km even when balloting is open to ppl staying >2km right?? Just check e MOE website which give an example if applicants is more than vacancies in phase 2b. More than 50% of e vacancies would be taken by ppl staying within 1km and 1-2km. Wondering if next yr registration theres balloting, would it be too risky for me? Hopefully there wont be balloting.

Hi MMM,
Hi,journey:
Hi all,
I'm new here. I am a former MBS student, and would like to join the alumni. Would appreciate if anyone can advise the procedure and fee to join. Thank you.
Pls go to the enclosed link.

□ 申 请 为 永 久 会 员 ($200/=)
□ 缴 付 普 通 会 员 (年 费 $24/=)
I recalled when I first joined, I joined as a ordinary member for a year and subsequently converted to life membership. You might want to call them to check out....
I recalled paying around $100? for life member 8 years back (when my dc1 is 2 years old). It does appear that the price has increased probably due to inflation. So good to join earlier than later.
Note that if you are using it for P1 registration, non-alumni falls under phase 2A2 while alumni falls under 2A1. With no change in regulations, 2A2 is very safe. Some of my ex-mates didn't join alumni and their kids are also in MBS.
I am keen to enrol my child in MBS. I glance thru the thread n saw that u posted e above. Just to check if i am still in time to join the alumni for the P1 registration? My child is k1 tis yr so she is due for registration next yr. All along i thought tat the only way is thru joining buddhist federation.
Also, Im residing in sengkang. Want to find out those who live more than 2km from MBS, how do u guys get in? After seeing the gd reviews abt the school giving fair chance to weaker students too, makes me feel tat it shd have e right environment tat i want my child to be in.
So any helps or advice will be appreciated. Many thanks.
