I am enquiring on behalf of my friend residing overseas now and considering coming back for job opportunities and kids’ education. Her oldest is currently 5 years old (born in 2015 so going for next year’s registration). She used to go to Fairfield Methodist and recently wrote to the school only to find out that this year’s registration rules stated that to qualify for Phase 2A1, former students of the Primary School must join earlier than 1 year prior to registration ie no later than 30 June 2019. So if she were to apply the same timeline to her situation, it means she is too late to join the alumni? The reply from the school also stated that this is 2020’s registration rules, and it does not imply it will be the same for subsequent years.

As my friend is also a christian, the other option would be to go for Phase 2B but what would be the chances? Also i am not sure if she should belong to the methodist denomination or any denomination will do?

I am thinking of renting out my Pasir Ris to defray some rental cost of renting an apartment around SJIJ area. Yes i think Meridian high chance of getting in, even if Park View is not available.

Oh thanks zac's mum - yes that is a possibility. Need to check Park View - actually there is Meridien Pri which is another possibility. So worst case scenario, i lose 1-2 months' deposit on the rental. 👌

Of course that is the worst case scenario. As a KSP, i would want to know if i can stomach this...🤣

Thanks zac's mum and Davischew - so during those few days after the ballot results for 2C, it's a mad scramble to check which schools are avail. And these schools may not even be within 1-2km - which means that my chances are further reduced.

On top of that, i have to deal with the rental lease which suddenly becomes meaningless to me. 🤦‍️

I was in the wrong thread (P1 2022 intake) and so glad i found this thread for monkeys 😂😁
So i have been toying with the idea to rent within 1km of SJIJ to increase my chances under Phase 2C. I live in Pasir Ris actually. So if i don't get the place in SJIJ in Phase 2C, is it possible to come back to Pasir Ris to go for Park View Primary under Phase 2CS? Park View is within 1km of my current address, though by then it would have changed.
