Thanks Coast and phtthp. I saw on the MGS website as well that they offer up to 50% of the IP places during the DSA phase. Does this mean that only 50% will be left for those applying for IP using PSLE results? And for those who got offered IP during DSA phase, any idea what’s the min cut off point they have to meet? Thanks!

Hi, we’re considering MGS IP for my DD. I understand that 80% of the places in MGS Secondary are reserved for MGS Pri students due to affiliation. Would anyone be able to advise if 80% of the places in their IP classes are reserved for MGS Pri students as well? Thanks!

      Dear Knowledge Universe.

My daughter has been attending LV for 2+ years now.

When I wrote in to express my concern about the fee increase last year and this one, I was told to expect further fee increases every year although the LV employee I spoke to said she didn’t know how much it would be.
We’ve since decided to withdraw DD1 (DD2 who will start playgroup next year will also go to the other childcare) due to this.

You say that you "need to share that the decisions to increase fees are never taken lightly".

Well, we feel compelled to share that the decision to withdraw a child from the childcare she’s grown accustomed to is never taken lightly either.

To put it simply, at $1,200/child (before MCYS subsidy and enrichment etc. costs), we’ve been priced out of LV, although we’d had loved to keep DD1 there and send DD2 there as well.

      Thanks everybody for the information.

Would you be able to share on their curriculum?

Mediapolis is the govt’s designated media-related industry cluster. Committed tenants include MediaCorp, possibly other media-sector players in the books, video, sound, post-prod, areas. Similar to how Biopolis is supposedly Singapore’s biotech cluster, Fusionopolis is the digital media cluster etc.

      Hi,

We will be paying $1050 for DD1 wef Apr 2012. There was a $100 increase last year and this year again. DD1 is 4 this year. They have told us it is highly likely there will be a fee increase every year. For DD1, she just turned 1. If she joins LV next year. it will be at least $1200 as that is the current rate for new entries.

      Hi,

was wondering if the $300 MCYS subsidy is applicable for Picket Fences?

      thanks in advance!

Yes... you interested too ? 🙂

Yes, currently DD1 is in LV which has been raising prices like its going out of fashion so we're a little concerned about the long term impact on finances, especially with DD2 starting school next year ... have to look for alternatives.

Would anybody be able to share the price of the full day and half day programme?

      Thank!
