How did you get as far as you have without teachers and parents taking some action? If you are bad as you say, ask your parents to get you an education assessment to see if you have a learning disability. Children with learning disabilities usually get exempted from MT as they are already burdened with coping with other subjects.
My parents already knew I am weak in MT, maybe they didn't know about the education assessment thing, not sure why my teachers didn't do anything, maybe because my teachers didn't realize I was really that bad. But strangely I managed to pass MT because I tikam tikam write down my answers for the 5 MCQ and I have no problem with listening in LC, Maybe those two are why I passed :siao:

Is it possible to get exempted from MT in Secondary for Singaporeans? Thinking of getting exempted.. I'm already in the Foundation Class for MT but still very very bad.

Can't keep up since P1 and I want to give up on Chinese next year

Are u a Chinese. If so, then change your altitude....visit ur school library or regional library pick any Chinese book that catch your fancy , read read and do more reading especially now you have all the time on hand

Good luck n take charge

Yes, but it's too late for me. I don't know any simple Chinese words, I can neither read, write nor speak and soon to be sec 1 if I pass, going to suffer more if I continue to take MT.

I am not attracted to any Chinese books or anything Chinese, when I see a book's title with Chinese words on it, I immediately put it back on the shelf 🤷

Can't force myself to read anything I'm not interested in, will absorb nothing. And my parents tried to talk to me in Chinese, a few seconds later I started talking in English again.

DS is slacking nowadays. Tonight is the second day this week he suddenly remembered that he has to hand in some work tomorrow

I left him alone to settle his work. If he can't finish it then he has to bear the consequences tomorrow  It's time for him to grow up šŸ˜‰
The P6 level in my school have to do one science game, my team slacking already šŸ˜‰ Deadline 1st November. Confirm will face consequences 🤷

Cannot be more bored than my dd :gloomy:
Fell down while ice skating (her first fun activity just days after PSLE) and has been grounded since .... Now on cast & clutches. Can't do anything, can't go Sch, can't join her friends & gotta miss all the activities organised by Sch.
Not just dd bored, I'm bored too cos I'm grounded together. :gloomy:

Oh noes..Tell her to rest well! Why both of you grounded?

When our child is sick, parents generally have to take care of them, dun they? Since my daughter can't move around freely, I would have to stay at home with her since I'm the main caregiver.
So you better go relax & cherish your freedom before PSLE results is out. šŸ˜„
Ohh I understand now šŸ˜„

That's what I remember too.. Nothing to worry about actually.. For her, it's confirmed NYGH..

Those without CO worry still reasonable...

Ya but who ever heard of a GE kid who got 230? (Sorry if I sound conceited...) And my mum and tutor will be disappointed if I got less than 265-270...
My parents just want me to pass my PSLE and proceed to secondary, they don't care how much I get.
But I am still worried about my results
