Hi
May I check on how many days do they wear their blouse and pe attire?

RE: DSA 2019
Hi parents,
Did anyone attend the DSA talk at MGS last Sat (13/4)? Due to some last minute matters, we were not able to attend. If anyone attended, would it be possible to share some of the things that were discussed/mentioned? Any Q&A that you can remember would be helpful too. Thanks in advance!

RE: 2016 Primary 4 Exam Papers
Hi, I have a stack of clean / not done 2016 Primary 4 Exam Papers (English, Maths, Science, Chinese) to bless. The Chinese is NOT HCL (this Chinese pack is completely unopened!
)
I know it is 2 years back, but for anyone who would like the extra practice this year or next year....
I believe this can also be found online and printed out, but hey, let's save the earth. These are already printed. You can print whatever else that is not in this 2016 stack.
Preferable meet up areas: Braddell or TPY areas during weekdays lunch time or self-collect from Bt Timah after work.
Please PM me. Thanks! -
RE: Raffles Girls' Primary
Hi, has anyone's DD ever participated in the school's overseas learning journey for HCL students? What are the criteria for selection (apart from speaking Chinese fluently)? Thanks in advance!

Now also have to display car decal, to be able to drive into school compound.
Parents can only drive into school compound to pick up their daughters, after 1.45 pm :
after all RGPS school buses, had left the school premises. -

Hi, is the student care center ready in RGPS. Any mommies here have DD there? How is the service and environment? Any limit on the number of students in the student care, how it is prioritized?
Student Care Centre (SCC) was operational since 1st day of school this year (2017). Service and environment - just remember that this is not child care centre, so don't expect the same.
The girls are expected to be more independent. Staff can be quite strict / fierce, but hey, so can parents...hahaha. Air-conditioned environment for lower primary kids. Lunch is from school canteen (different food each day). Only 1 shower facility (so I heard that the girls don't shower(?), unlike in child care centre). They provide tea break as well. P1s and P2s are allowed to nap for abt 45min to 1hr - the SCC provides those matteresses like in CC, or DD can bring own sleeping bag (can leave in SCC from Mon to Fri, bring home on Fri). There will be time for homework but they will not supervise / tutor the child (school dun allow). They will test weekly spelling and å¬å. I find that they are quite good with communication with parents - we can WA them, they will WA us on any issue that cropped up with the girls etc. So far, so good.
I understand that the limit on the number of students is determined by the school and the decision to admit a student into the SCC also lies with the school. No idea what is their criteria though.

Any mommies driving their girls to school from clementi? How is the traffic jam in bukit timah since the tan kah kee mrt is operational.
I think traffic will always be heavy (but not major jam. just a lot of cars - but everyone is generally patient (no honking, give way to those who need to cut into the lanes) as we are all there for the same reason - dropping kids off at whichever school) as there will still be many parents who are able to and who wish to drive their kids to school.
Basically, for RGPS, I think better to reach school before 6.45am to avoid jams. After that, there will be a slowly moving queue to go into school. On rainy days, it gets really bad. There was once, I was stuck in between Swiss Club Rd and Sixth Ave MRT for a good 15 min (usually only 1-2 min to clear this stretch of road). -

SSTA is just an association right? Not a company.... So the individual bus operators are the ones who decide? As long as any increase is within some guideline or reasonable or something?
Hi Winnieng,winnieng78:
Hi, there is no increase in the bus fare for our route this year.
I dont think SSTA help much frankly speaking... they will always refer us to the bus driver directly.
From your feedback, It seems school bus fee increment by bus operators are not authorised by SSTA
