We signed up for non-competitive table tennis CCA. My boy did not mention a letter requesting payment.
Yes, I think most CCAs conducted for the lower primary require payments. I went for the so-called CCAs Open House and the brochures that were distributed did indicate the fees.
So, the school did \"inform\" about the fees.
I wish they had informed via the school letter on the online registration rather than at the CCA open house. Not every working parents could attend the open house during the normal office working hours.
Does anyone know the payment amounts for each type of CCA? Table tennis is $220 for 20 lessons. -

Thank you for explaining ... looks like primary school can be quite expensive. Things have changed since our time ...
Some CCAs hire external coaches, hence the need to charge. But I agree with you - to avoid misunderstanding - it would have been better any fees payable be shared upfront. Mabbe you can feedback to the OIC and see what he says. -

We find that it is unfair to be charged for CCA. If it is to be charged, we would like to be informed beforehand so that we can make the right choice for our child.
Hi, we just received a letter from the school asking for payment of $220 for table-tennis CCA. We find it very surprising that there is a need to pay for CCA. There was no earlier information on such a practise. Is CCA an optional part of school curriculum?Jennifer:
The CCA round 1 registration result is out. Please go to the school website for a clearer name list for checking.

Agree to a certain extent that the orientation was rather disorganised and the ppt slides were lacklustre to say the least, in terms of the colours, background and interest level (We were not even informed of the briefing beforehand). The font size used was also small, and parents sitting at the back would find it difficult to read. I was sitting in the front and already found it small... I believe the ppt slides have been 'recycled' many times. Results wise they seemed decent enough. So I m trusting the good hands of the teachers.
We hope to see a nurturing learning environment and effective and efficient school administration. How can we as parents help the school to achieve that? -

Hi dtck3004, we were not aware of this P1 parents' briefing, how did the school inform the parents to attend? -
