Hi.

I thought of sending my girl to agape @ Clementi N1 class. Any review?
There are Lots of childcare centers that are much better than Agape. Do some research and visit those centers and talk to them to find out more.
these are some of the schools.

MY World Preschool Ltd, MindChamps, Cherie Hearts, Kinderland, MODERN MONTESSORI , Chiltern House, Mulberry learning centre, star Learning, Pat Schoolhouse etc.
I believe you will find a good school for your kid .

This school need to revamp. Their food is not healthy so can’t imagine our kids having those kinds of food served to them for breakfast and lunch, despite the high school fees that they are charging, I felt we deserve more from them. I’ve tried voicing my concerns to the school but they don’t listen.

If the teachers can’t handle the big class, they should have consider to split it into 2 classes instead of cram so many kids in one class. Teaching a class full of kids can be a very stressful job.
The kids are not learning much from the school as they do not have really good and qualified teachers as most of the good caring, nurturing and compassionate ones have left. Teachers turnover is high.

Agape do not constantly interact with the parents. What can underlings do to salvage things when the Principle is fully incompetent to do the job. I believe teachers got the blame for the complains, as Principals rarely spend any time remediating these teachers. Writing in the communications book is useless too.

'This school needs a lot of discipline . They are amazingly disorganized and have no sense of priorities. The management only Objective is to have more students and earn Big bucks. The rest is not important.

Another thing, The centres and the management did not have proper Quarantine and safety measures or separate classrooms for those kids who are suspected to have come down with the HFMD and Chickenpox.

They also allows the students to go to school and mix around with the healthy kids, thus the HFMD and the chickenpox spreads fast… Really Bad management and lousy centres.
The centre in Clementi was really bad. The incompetent Principle in Clementi lacks necessary ability or skills to run the place.

It's a shame what their Name stated AGAPE means “unconditional love” and endeavour to replicate the environment to promote learning. It's a lie.

I'm agreed with you that good teachers has left.
Everything is behind close door...during 2014, there were 3 principal
(one of them was the director cum acting principal). None of the
the parents were informed until the MSF has step in to investigate.

Better be worry if your child is in the lower nursery class. Good luck :xedfingers:
I noticed that some teachers are holding ITE certificates teaching N1 or K2 and trainee teachers from ITE teaching N1 to K2.. this only means that they do not have really good qualified teachers in there despite their school fees are so high..
Monthly $1284 excluding some other stuffs and uniforms to be purchase separately..

Playground classes changes teachers frequently too..
There is an Agape near where I stay and the multi-storey carpark happens to lead to the entrance of Agape and thus I pass by it quite often.

I do not have a child attending there but I noticed, on two separate occasions, at around 4 pm (nap time for kids maybe) that one of their staff/teacher (wearing their uniformed polo tee) to be standing near a staircase landing smoking.

I should have taken a photo and showing it to the admin.
I guess most parents would not want someone reeking of cigarette smell to handle their kids.

OH gosh, I think that if the parents happens to see that teacher smoking outside would have Freak Out..

this childcare really have a lot of outstanding issues waiting to be resolved. The management better wake up else their enrolment are going to drop drastically
sad to say I think the management is not going to do anything about it. Their attitude are really bad and they simply can't be bothered.
The staff morale is definitely really low with such bad management and turnover rates of the teachers are so high.. Most of the good teachers are leaving due to the management treating them as slaves. Can't imagine those students of this school having different teachers in their class every few months.

It's a shame what their Name stated AGAPE means “unconditional love” and endeavour to replicate the environment to promote learning. It's a lie.

Do not enroll your kid in Agape. Talk is cheap. They will promise lots of things so that you will enrol your kid in their centre but they do not deliver the results despite that the school fees are expensive. Monthly: $1284 excluding some other items that you may have to purchase.

The principle and management are not good role models and there are lots of complaints by parents of this school and complaints of the principle as well. The teachers turn-over are high too.. Some teachers who left are those that are really good, qualified and have love and passion for the kids.
Standard has dropped badly and recently there are cases of HFMD..

Do look elsewhere and make a visit to the other schools.. EtonHouse, Cherie Hearts, First Skool etc..

I pity the children. Can you believed that they are served only with PLAIN WHITE BREAD and milo during teabreak. No Jam , cheese or peanuts butter :scared:

The principals are the scapegoat because the management(run by 2 couples) always ignored many of the bad incidents and complaints.

Yes, The food are not really healthy and I heard there was a check on them recently that they do not serve healthy food. No Organic or whatever despite parents paying so much money monthly.
Definitely, there are Lots of complaints. Not only the management is lousy, actually some Principles are not as good as well and they are unreasonable. The P likes to push the blame to the teachers and teachers actually became the scapegoats.
