Looks like boys are assigned to classes randomly. There's only 1 student taking AEP in my DS class.


May I ask parents how your DS will decide which CCA to put on the form? I'm really glad that the school make a big effort allowing & facilitating CCA trials for the boys these couple of days. :rahrah:

Hi all, just a curious question from the top of my head. Does anyone know if secondary 1 boys are assigned to classes randomly or by their results? I believe whether the boy is taking HMT might play a part too.

My Son originally prefers Temasek JC but as last year’s COP was 253 & he only got 250, we didn’t put in TJC. Now that the COP for TJC is 250, would we be able to appeal to the school?

We're staying at Tiong Bahru & put in VS as first choice! So his home commute will be bus 48 which is right outside the school side gate to Bugis Mrt then train ride home..close to 60mins. Route for going home seems to be better compared to going to school.

Hello Mindays & all, I saw that VJC cutoff for 2016 was 5 for Science (read: shock!). If a VS student attains L1R5 of 10, does it mean he won't qualify for VJC even after the 2 points deduction for affiliation?

Separately, thank you all who have clarified CCA requirement on my earlier post & sharing insights. DD has picked VS as his 1st choice so we are really looking forward to reporting to VS on 22nd Dec

I understand Victoria school requires students to join a uniform group & a sports. Would this put a strain on the already limited time of students? How do the students cope? Are the uniform group & sport very demanding & result oriented?


The main reason my DS is not putting VS on his list is he has the impression that one needs to be very strong/good in the sport that he join to be able to survive well/gain acceptance. Any comments from anyone who has insights? He meets the COP to the school.
