      Hi Hellokitty88

I contacted Mr Wang you recommended via whatsapp, and he replied very promptly. He quoted NTD6000 for a day trip to Taroko Gorge (pickup at 7am) and itinerary includes Taroko Gorge, 清水断崖,七星潭,鲤鱼潭,plus whale and dolphin watching out at sea. Not sure about the whale and dolphin watching part, as I did not read about this in the internet travel blogs. Anyone done this before? Worth doing? Thanks for help!

Hi PTLMum, Hellokitty88, thanks for recommending Mr Wang. We are travelling next week. May I know whether you are using 7-seaters or 9-seaters for the $5500/ $6000 quote he gave? Can share what type of vehicle he drive e.g. model, new/ old, hahah... guess this is also important for consideration too

I'm travelling with 2 young teens & my elderly mum. Not really into sightseeing. Grateful if you guys can share any interesting activities/ food to add on to our itinerary:

Day 1 - Airport - Dahu, Miaoli (Stay at Schokolake B&B) - to experience the countryside stay

Day 2 - Visit Dahu strawyberry farm (any recommended one?), Nanzhuang old street, Sheng xing railway station, Gaomei wetland (sunset?), Feng jia night mkt (if still can make it). Stay at Taichung

      Day 3 - Taichung Go-kart! - Puli (18deg choc factory? anything else?) - Lushan hotspring - CJ

      Day 4 - CJ - Hehuanshan - Wuling - CJ

      Day 5 - CJ - Jiufen

      Day 6 - Jiufen (F&E) , Jinguashi

Day 7 - Jiufen - Shifen (waterfall), Pingxi (sky lantan), Old street. Stay Taipei

Day 8 - Taipei - Beitou hotspring (nice ramen shop there)- Danshuai

      Day 9 - Taipei - Sin

Seems like the thread is quiet when school reopen. Anyone traveling to Taipei during Mar school holiday?

Guess most would prefer a short trip for Mar hol. Nevertheless, I booked a trip to Taiwan for my family in Mar during SQ early bird promo last year. On the hindsight, I am worry now that it may disrupt kids learning, somemore I maximise the entire hol period

We engaged a driver for 4 days in Taichung & CJ. Got my contact Ms Hu from a blog somewhere (before I chance upon KS)... keeping my finger cross that she doesn't let us down. She will also send us to Jiufen on the last day. Total damage NT22,000 😓

My kids, even myself are excited about the minsu stay at CJ (清境白雲渡假山莊 - 藍色情誼四人房) and Jiufen (陽光味宿). Hmm... our first time.

Will be at Taipei for the rest of the trip... My taiwan friend recommended spa cum restaurant at 湯瀨溫泉餐廳, near Beitou. Of course, Danshui is a must go too. If time permit, will bring kids to leofoo theme park :please:

Wishing all a happy lunar new year too!
