My son is pretty used to sec school already… maybe because his brother is together with him… makes me relieved… as for dismissal time, he comes back shockingly early (latest would be 2pm reaching home)… but I heard that since CCA and some programs havent startd, i should be prepared for a later release. My younger boy enjoys the free periods too… he appears to still be in cloud nine, no complaints yet…

RE: Transferring Secondary School at Sec 2
SuperJunior:
I want my daughter to transfer secondary school at Sec 2, it is alright? Will it be troublesome? :?:
Some higher end schools (eg. NYGH, SJI, Victoria) etc offer an Entrance Exam for entrance into Sec 2. Other schools just require you to send an application, but then again, the chance is very low. -

Rather difficult to remember which week is for which slot especially when starting week is supposed to be week 0? Is the class teacher list still valid given that it was supposed to be for 2012? Do they like primary school, move along with the class for 2 years? Just wondering.
For sec 1 tutors of 2013, see here: http://www.sji.edu.sg/staff.php?did=20
the list is updated.
They stay with the same class from S1-S2, unless transfer is sought or boy cannot cope with SJI. Then, S3-S4 should be same class too.
SJI has many camps and activities for the boys, so fitting in with the new environment should be fine.
Noted that tomorrow all has to report to school by 7.15am. May l know days after that, do they report before 7.50am as per their school time table or 7.30 or 7.15am again? Thanks[/quote]They report at 7:25am at the running track ( on normal days ). It states on the website:
If your son's name if not found on the list, kindly instruct him to meet Mr Jude Tan (HOL 1) on 2 Jan (Wed) at 0715hrs outside the school hall.
I think it means that 7:15am is only the meeting for list errors. However, i think it is better to send my boys there earlier for first day. -

RE: St. Joseph's Institution
My son will be joining SJI O levels with a score of 255. not sure if should try appealing for IP as it is more expensive and it is SJI's first year of IP sec 1 inatke.
My two sons will be in the same school!
:rahrah:
One in sec 3 and one in sec 1 in 2013.
did the COP really rise to 245?
seems like a huge increase after remaining at 241-242 for 3 years.. -

ACS - O level track 249 and IP is 256
SJI - O Level Track 245 and IP is 251
Sad.. My son got posted to SJI (O level track) with score of 255
we put IP as second choice and O levels as first thinking that 255 was not good enough to be part of the IP.
