My boy will be going to P3 next year. Was wondering if any of you bought an electronic dictionary? The Besta one that is $39.90. Was wondering if it is useful? Anyone bought the expensive English-Chinese Besta dictionary? Worth the money?

I actually thought I'm a very boh chap momi... until recently when I heard about the horrors of Pr. 1 registration. I was doing some research when I discovered this wonderful site. I have seen 'converted' to a kiasu parent and proud of it.

I have 2 kids; 1 boy born on Xmas eve 2004 and a girl, born on Sept 11 2008. Very easy to remember their Bdays... muaa ha ha ha.

I’m in a dilemma. Would like some views.

I’m undecided if I should out my boy in St Andrews or HIPS. Both are within 2 KM. My boy is quite rowdy and doesn’t appear very academically inclined. And he seems quite girl crazy so thought a boys school enviroment might be less distracting. I also have a younger girl whom I hope can go to PLMGS (1KM) next time. But if the bro goes HIPS, then sister too lah.

I was from neighbourhood school so not sure if Boys School are good.

Is SA good? If I PV, will I stand a chance? Ditto for HIPS.
Are the students from HIPS well-behaved as compared to SA.
