      Super P:

I know of this centre called Achievers Learning Centre at Jurong East (65697773) conducting DSA courses in the last few years. Seems to be the only one in Singapore can do it. Also quite successful in placing P6 kids to the top IP schools. Some of you may want to find out more...

What about top notch centres like learning lab, stalford? all these cannot do it?

      :?

Let me share my experience. Platinium stands a good chance but is no guarantee. For most IP schools, the first hurdle is GAT. If your child fails to meet the minimum grade (different schools have different min and usually they do not disclose), he/she will have no chance at all to show his/her area of talent (be it Maths, sports and etc.) for the next round of selection. Different schools have different GAT format and they usually tell you need not make any preparation. To my understanding, your mentioned centres are only good in tuition but have completely no such knowledge, not mentioning the ability to conduct such course. May be they are not interested for some commercial reasons.

For some schools, the final round is interview. Most kids have no experience and most parents have no idea what the schools are looking for during the interview. Interview itself is an arts and at time can be subjective and situational. Even some privilged parents who knows what the schools look for may not know how to train their yound minds.

ALC conditioned my child with GAT, domain subjects and interview. The trainers are expert in GAT/Maths, Mass Comms and hold master degree. They seem to knows whatthe schools are looking for. They helped my child overcome the two major hurdles and I am very happy with the outcome last year.

My son was lucky and got a Platinum last year after trained by ALC. I was quite impressed and followed up to let him attend the DSA course. The centre prepared him with GAT, interview and boosted his confidence and motivation. To my surprise, he managed to secure DSA offers from several top IP schools. I am now planning for my other kids. In case some of u are interested, the tel to ALC is 65697773.
