Yes, it applicable. Cca Two points deducted is applicable to jc or poly. Two points fr higher Chinese is applicable only to jc.

My niece is also from NA. Now she is in Sec 5, and taking her O-Levels. She told me that she worked hard in sec 1 and 2, but still didn’t make it to express. It’s quite sad. But she persevered on. She did ok for her N level last year. But she said the O level is very different from the N level. The jump is very, very big.
I have another friend who chose the NA stream for her daughter, even though she can qualify for Express, but in an average school. My friend regretted that decision. She has thought that her daughter will learn her concepts better, since she has more time to study. But it just didn’t quite work out.
My boy has attended 2 lessons, even though he already has an existing tutor. It’s free anyway. Hmm. Anyway, he said this tutor is very patient and good.

I feel that there is a very big jump from P6 to Sec 1. The kids will want more freedom, get more involved in CCA, and the most dramatic of all, they will be undergoing puberty.
Like what other parents mentioned, it all depends on the child’s maturity. If the child is mature, we as parents can let go a little.
But the kid will always say, "Hey mum, it’s my life!"
And a possible reply is, "It’s your life, but because I give birth to you, your decisions affect not just you, but me too!"

Power = Force X velocity
100km/hr converts to 27.8 m/s
80,000 W = Force X 27.8m/s
So Force = 2880 Newtons.
The driving force pushing the car forward is equal to the force of friction because it is moving at constant velocity.
Usually students remember that Power = Energy / time
At constant velocity the work done to push the car is the force times the distance. Then if we divide by time we get power. So if the car travels 27.8 meters in one second, then force X 27.8m is the work - then divide by 1 second of time. So this is equivalent to saying that Power = Force X velocity when moving at constant velocity.
part (b) is a bit confusing to me. If the engine is working at the same rate, that means it is delivering the same power. But the statement that the resistance is constant is confusing. Most of the resistance to a car is air resistance which depends on speed. So it is a bit hard to decipher part (b).
