The endo 1 litre is not a gd choice. I had 1 prev and most times, the food is lukewarm by lunch time. The upper layer inside is meant to keep cooked food warm only, not cook it.

My 4.5litre tiger is just nice for our family of 4 actually. Does your family drink a lot of soup? The thing with thermal pot is you need to fill it at least 1/2 full to work properly.

      1. Parquet & Laminate - The seller advised against using on these type of floors because it might be \"too wet\". I guess it depends on personal tolerance. I have not used the floor washer on the rooms (parquet) yet, because the rooms are small and limited floor area to wash (mattresses on the floor) so I just hand-wipe with a cloth on weekends while waiting for them to fall asleep during naptime. That said, I have had 6 maids in the last 6 years and none cared for my parquet floor I instructed them to... šŸ˜“ šŸ˜“  I don't think the floor washer could do more damage, or leaves the floor wetter than them! When I was researching, I read that some homeowners do use it on their parquet floor, with the fan turned on.

      2. Cleaning liquid - Seller advised to use plain water. If really need to, can also use some vinegar and diluted Magic Clean. Definite NO to Dettol, though!

      3. Effective Cleaning - I suppose this applies to all types and brands of robotic cleaners/vacuum. They work much better in \"small, open spaces\". I.e. in my kitchen, I have counters on both sides. So it takes 5-10mins for the robot to do a thorough job. No obstructions or difficult maneuvers. Yesterday, I started the cleaning under the dining table šŸ˜‚ šŸ˜‚ So everything under the table was squeaky clean. I also pushed all the chairs to the wall.

I suppose the living room + entrance + dining + corridor to rooms was too confusing so it could have done with a longer run. I ran it for 35mins last night. Got that clean-floors feeling, but I should get the batteries so that I can use the virtual wall (comes with robot) to \"partition\" out the areas for faster and more effective cleaning. The evidence to a \"good job done\" is that there were lots of hair, a few rainbow looms, rice, plus other small debris like paper, fluff ball etc etc when I was rinsing the unit. Also, the water from \"dirty water\" tank was pretty dirty! šŸ˜‰ šŸ˜‰ (and this is AFTER my kid had allegedly \"mopped the whole house\" just before dinner!

If don't want to deal with water tanks etc... I suppose robot vacuum is a good place to start. And there ARE differences of quality, suction power, performance, etc... probably relative to price. I tried an older version of another brand - not impressive and gives you that review like \"can live without it\"... I might still get a robot vac too... spending the maid's salary on gadgets :boogie: :boogie:

I am also watching Descendant of the sun. It seems quite a popular drama. I saw it on newspaper some time back.
Action packed + romance + cute actors probably the main attraction of the show. Not much story plot though.
I am very amazed by their makeup, lol. looks so hot but their makeup and skin are always perfect and dewy. The scenery is beautiful!

Really curious...for the robot which mops, how often will top up of floor detergent and clearing the water be done? I used Karcher but find it heavy and troublesome to clear the water from the tub. Still need to mop floor because floor is sticky.

What I have is the Scooba floor washer (NOT the Roomba vacuum cleaner). Fill water into clean water tank - it does some vacuuming, then spray water, scrubs, then sucks dirty water back into the dirty water tank. This explains why the floor is wet (only as wet as when my kids mop the floor). But it leaves the floor very clean. See this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mxX_m1MO2K0

I wanted to get a 2-in-1 with a mop and vacuum, which usually involves a mopping cloth below the vacuum cleaner. Unfortunately, I didn't see much great reviews - Essentially all those that vacuums well does not mop and all those that mops well does not vacuum. Eventually decided on the Scooba after my colleague told me she is happy with Scooba and her dog!

Can you use with other detergents or only scooba detergent?

I once applied for 1 card at a bank's roadshow, and got 5-6 approved cards mailed to me - from VISA to Mastercards offered by the same bank :stupid:

Very unethical actually of the sales person cos they earn per successful card application, iirc

yes, I hv a similar experience but 3 approved cards mailed.

I called and cancelled all but the card i originally applied for and they cancelled the wrong card. Really give up on that bank, lol! Quite embarrassing when the card didn't work at the cashier's.

      Mindstretcher @ Bukit Panjang Plaza:

Pretty disappointed with Mindstretcher, I would advise all parents who keen to sign up for your child, do give a serious thought before you enroll as they are accepting only top student and no wonder it is branded.

I have signed up for 3 subjects: English, Maths and Science. I withdraw English very soon when I started to revise the paper and noticed that it was too challenging for my child. Also, the teachers from the others 2 subjects have made comments to withdraw my child out from Mindstretcher due to his dyslexia. Although he scored 60+ for CA1, which I think they are looking at 70 and above. If my son can score \"A\", I will not even give any tuition as now education is so stressful.

Quite sad about it, but think it over their papers is pretty tough and may be a waste of time and stress for the child who can't cope.

In the first place, Mindstretcher should learn from others centre to test on the child ability before any registration and not deprive the child instead of motivation.

Does anyone face the same issue? Or anything to share on or suggestion?
I am quite against testing on child's ability before acceptance at centers unless it is something like high achievers or the gifted class. I didn't let my kids try HA even though they qualified based on sch grades. They are still/were in the Achiever classes.
