Registrations of 2019 P1 is drawing near and im getting a little lost in the selection of schools. Really need advice with regards to Punggol Primary School as this school is nearest to my house and its one of our 1st choice as of now.

I went to PPS website and found out that the school has been awarded quite a few awards and it seems like this school is quite good one around this neighbourhood. They also have very good results in their CCA like Boys Brigade and Hockey. I’m not too sure about the academic wise as the website didnt publish their past years PSLE percentage or results.

Any mummies or parents has got kids currently studying in PPS? Could you share a little with regards to the school’s academic curriculum, teachers as well as the overall of the school’s discipline and environment? Are the teachers commited for the students to do well in their PSLE? Is this school having too much emphasis on CCA that they might neglect academic results? I personlly feel having a balance of both is better, but im afraid if they might have to spend a lot of time on training due competitions and stuff, eventually neglect on their studies.

I have also did some homework on Montfort Juniors School, Holy Innocents and Xin Min Primary School. I felt that these are the few schools in my selection for my boy next year. If you have any views on these schools as well. Please do share with me too.

Really appreciate your inputs and sharing with regards to PPS. I think it will also benefit other parents making PPS as their choice to understand a little about the school.

I’m going to register my child this year P1 registration for next year to start.

Can I get some feedback on the these schools with regards to their academic and overall child development:-
1) Palm view primary
2) Xinmin Primary School
3) Punggol Primary

Holy Innocents are actually within 1-2km of our house now. Base on past few years experience, balloting required for phase 2c within 1-2km. Shall I take the chance and enrol there first? If can’t get in, then go for the balance?

Really very troubled daddy as I felt the primary school actually do play important part of the child’s future development.

Can u all share with me regarding the school curriculum and experience? How’s the school like? Isit better compared to the neighboring schools like punggol primary or palm view primary school? All these schools are within 1 km to my house.
