Maths Monster:thanks!Time = Distance / (80 + 60) = Distance / 140talk_aboutstudies:Is there a method where i can solve all speed questions like this:
A car and a van were travelling in opposite directions at speeds of 80km/h and 60km/h respectively. The car was travelling from Town A to Town B while the Van was travelling form Town B to Town A. At what time would the pass each other?
Note: No distance is given
Please help!
This is the same as assuming car speed is 140km/h and the time taken to travel from town A to B.

RE: [Seng Kang] Primary Schools
Hi,I’m a pupil of CVPS,or Compassvale Primary School.
I’m in the P6 cohort this year and for the past 6 years,I have been nurtured into an outspoken and outgoing girl. In Compassvale, we are engaged on interesting lessons and we have very interesting teachers too.
Let me give an example, I hated science,a lot, simply because I found it hard to get an A. (Fyi, I’m a straight A student) This year is an important year and i am lucky to have gotten my science teacher. He engages us onto fun and lively science lessons, making up stories and making us laugh while still being able to deliver the science facts. Now, many teachers do not like to answer nonsensical questions. I am a very curious and fanciful girl. I love asking weird questions such as "Why can’t we build a bridge to link earth and the moon?" My tuition teacher refused to answer the question, saying i was asking stupid questions. However, when i posted the question to my school science teacher, he told me to wait until the end of class(which is also the end of school) to ask him. After school, my friends crowded around him to ask him all sorts of questions and he answered every single one of them.Even if he cannot give us an answer, he would say "I will ask the higher being" and sent us into fits of laughter.
I am supposedly suppose to go to Nan Chaiu, because my dad was an old student there. As I could not get in,I was sent to Compassvale. There, I met a lot of new friends and alot of teachers. Our curriculum is wide, with many programs for us to take part in, such as Mathematical Olympiad and Odyssey of The Mind.
Our school’s performing arts recently took part in the SYF and the results are as below:
Band-Bronze
Chinese dance-Gold
Indian Dance-Silver
Harmonica-Silver
Malay Dance-Silver
I read somewhere in the posts about the importance of CCAs.
CCAs are very important as they play a big role in your child’s p6 year. If your child have a strong CCA and participated and performed well in recognized competitions, your child will have a higher chance of getting into his/her choice of secondary school through DSA.
Oh and our school’s top PSLE pupil usually scores around 270+.
I wish all the parents luck in choosing the primary school for your kids.
(PS I’m using my aunt’s account)
