To the SPH reporter who wrote to me to ‘clarify’ P’s comments on 7 Jan:


Spend your time to do good thing for the society & help those who need help by reporting true nice stories.
Don’t hear say & support those ppl who like to stir.
Don’t spend too much time doing non-value-added article writing trying to boost the newspaper sales!

Dear parents, I received a private msg from the SPH reporter to clarify 2 comments by the P during 7 Jan ipad briefing to Y1 parents.


On the 1st comment: the press just captured one line from a long conversation from the P ignoring the background why he said that. It is merely ‘Tuan zhang qu yi’.
On the 2nd comment: I think it is self created & untrue.

These must be feedback from ‘one or some’ irresponsible parent/s trying to stir sh… It is very disappointing for the press trying to add salt add vinegar to tarnish the P’s reputation. I assume the reporter likely to write to some of us to clarify these comments, I urge the parents to ignore his msg & let the case closed.

We should be focusing to ensure our kids enjoying their school life & trust that the school will do their best to nurture our kids into their teenage years.

Ya, my son playing 1st double.
This team is very on, tomorrow also want to train, their 1st opponent on Mon is Fuhua, very strong. Quite a no. of Chinese players.

Today cross country @ Chinese Garden. Griffin House won the Championship.

Table Tennis Competition for B Boys started this week & 2 matches played. Anyone knows the results?


Next week, C boys starting.

my son in year 2 this year, also in table tennis..he told me he was selected to be a reserve in the upcoming competition.

octopusmum, my son is playing the doubles in the upcoming competition. The competition is starting after CNY. Not much time for Y1 to train.

Mine could not make it in many sports...

My son in table tennis team. This year about 20 Y1 join TT. The coach has selected the Group C school team for upcoming competition.

This present team is very motivated & they start training even before coach arrives at 8am Sat. They also requested to train beyond 11am (official release time) but the coach wants them to rest as they have been training very hard on Tue & Fri already.

Hope their passion can help them push thru' in the competition.

Any parents kids in the TT team to share more about their previous achievement?

How's everything?
Dd complained very tired and luckily not much homework at this moment.

Yes, not much home work (teachers gave them time to complete most of them in school) but I do see the math, english & CL homework quite challenging/interesting (quite high standard in my opinion).

My son is motivated to go to school everyday, likely due to new environment & friends.

He slept on Mon & Wed (Tue & Fri CCA - no time to sleep) soon not long after reaching home indicated he is tired, not an hr sleep, it was like 3 hrs. He don't sleep in afternoon during in Pri school life.

Today dd's CL teacher left and a new relief teacher took over. Is the turnover rate of teachers high ?

This CL teacher is from China & quitted after 2 days of teaching (just started her teaching career in Sin) citing unable to cope with the weather/environment, what a joke!

My son from 1C, any other classes got affected by this?

There are some students transferred into QSS from nearby Sch (Bukit Merah SS, Henderson SS) for Sec 3 this year.


Yesterday, the school just finished the CCA fair & every CCA all out to recruit new members.
