Dear parents of students in the north-east,
I’m a highly-rated female teacher (formerly fulltime; currently adjunct) with 23 years’ teaching experience. I’m MOE-trained and an Honours graduate in English Language. I was also the top student in English Language at university. Additionally, I write Advanced English worksheets for secondary schools. (For reasons of privacy, I cannot elaborate here; feel free to enquire.)
Comments of former students:
* Our lessons with you are so fun!
* You’re the best English teacher we have ever had!
* Without a doubt, if not for you, I would not have scored my distinction.
* I learn 100 times more from you than my school teachers.
I am offering group tuition (group size 5-6) at Hougang, near to the Hougang MRT.
I specialise in the secondary level only (NO primary sch and JC because I have no experience at those two levels).
Classes on weekday evenings (also Saturday mornings).
Each lesson is 1.5 hours in duration. Feel free to ask me questions about my lessons via pm. Individual lessons also available at a different rate.
Thank you and have a great day!

Thanks for the info. It’s odd that current students aren’t privy to such info yet the public are.

RE: BEWARE! Middle-Aged Man Observing SJI and RI Schoolboys
Btw, I saw ANOTHER guy the other day at Junction 8. Not sure how often he frequents the place. Also middle-aged…looks Indian or Eurasian. Tall and lanky with rough complexion. Used to go by the name of Johnny and used to be a watch salesman who would go to schools to sell watches to staff members. (Not sure if he still does that but I saw him at the school I teach at - in 2012 - still selling watches to teachers! I did alert the school to his transgressions.)
This guy made the news several years ago for MOLESTING a boy (boys?). I’ve pointed him out to my son. Looks like we now have another one to watch for… -

Thanks, kafer! To save parents' time, I got this picture of him from trawling the ksp thread you sent:

RE: St. Joseph's Institution
Dear parents of Sec 1 boys,
In addition to the packing list the school gave, here's what I thought of. Not all of these pertain to my son's packing list, but you might find the extended list useful for your individual child's needs:
- slippers
- track shoes and extra socks
- phone and charger
- Ezlink card
- cash
- locker key
- small pillow (for kids who are side sleepers)
- snacks
- panadol / plasters (school first aid kit should have these but just in case)
- insect repellent
- rosary, etc.
- small flashlight
Anything I forgot, please add on. Cheers! Looking forward to the camp! :rahrah: -
RE: St. Joseph's Institution
Yup, same for Maris Stella High...only Sec 4s have aircon classrooms. I think it's a great idea, albeit one that coddles our soon-to-be men. LOL.
