    • RE: 2014 P1 Registration Exercise for 2015 In-Take

      Hi,

I’m relatively new to the website so am not sure if I’m posting this correctly so please bear with me.

My child is eligible under 3c for 2015 intake…what are chances for getting in Opera Estate? From the current data it looks like 10 vacancies pre 2C. So i doubt his chances are good. Amongst the available schools below what are your rankings (1 being the top ranking)

      Telok Kurau Primary

      Bedok Green Primary

      Damai Primary

Additionally, since we stay in the east (tanjong area) are there any other recommended schools that i should consider?

      Many thanks,

    • RE: Shichida Junior Programme

      Dear Mummies,

I wanted to check if any of the mummies have their kids in the Junior Programme of Shichida ie, ages 7 years plus. My son has been there since 1.5 years and he will be 6 years this coming Dec…and it has been beneficial. However, Im wondering whether the main programme stays relevant in the latter years (7 yrs and above) given that the main theory was that the brain develops rapidly till 6 years old, and that the programme was initially designed for the 1-6 years age group. Would love to hear your thoughts…Also the JP programme is being shifted to another center, which is inconvenient to travel to…hence the introspection.

Thank you mummies for your thoughts

    • RE: Choosing and Evaluating Primary Schools

      Hi,

Coz Im having to select a school that is amongst the "unpopular" schools that have a place after all the citizens and PRs have done their selection. So amongst those schools, Im thinking I can select a school which has a relatively higher % of students passing PSLE and going on to express stream…just to indicate the quality of the school.

      Thanks

      Hi,

Our son eligible for 2015 Primary School…He not a PR/Citizen, on a student pass at kinder currently. Are there any statistics of the % of express students per school on a school basis for 2013?.

      Thank you.

    • RE: Domestic Help is sick

      Hi,

I live in the east area, near meyer road…my domestic help just today said she saw blood in her stool, normal stool color, no pain. I rang up a local lady doc (my maid would need a physical examination and would be more comfortable with a lady doctor), but am told shes travelling for the week…our own family gp is male. Could you share the contact details of any suitable doctor?

      Thanks,
      C
