I like Jennifer’s resolutions! Mine reads something like this for the past few years:

2011= improve on photography skills esp portraits
2012= pilates (achieve some major milestones) - still work in progress sianz
2013= play competitive tennis (somewhat achieved; inter-club only lah)
2014= either learn ice-skating or improve swimming
But the most important I have not done yet - that is, try to cook more at home and don’t see it as a chore! Sigh, I have a long way to go!

I won’t advise staying in Batu Ferringhi as nothing is happening there. It takes up to 30 mins to Georgetown. We were happy to stay in Gurney (Gurney Plaza and Gurney Paragon) and very convenient.

Bucket List: Penang Hill, Kek Lok Si, Khoo Kong Si, Butterfly Farm, Chew Jetty, street art; eat at Pulau Tikus (opp Police Station), Penang Famous Teochew chendol etc. Hope this helps.

Yup you’re right, sleepy, all SAHMs are super busy during the holidays. I can’t wait for term to begin tomorrow, really.

So far we’ve been to Bali twice and stayed at Grand Hyatt (1st trip) and Courtyard Marriott (2nd trip) in Nusa Dua where the beaches are private and sand is finer. It is a gated community and security is better. The nice places to eat are found in hip Seminyak eg La Luciola, Ultimo, Mantis, Ku De Ta etc. For cheap places, Naughty Nuri’s is well-known for their babyback ribs. You should try the Rock Bar (Ayana Resort on Jimbaran) and queue early to get in. Ubud is nice to visit for art galleries and Teglalang for rice terraces. I won’t be back to Bali until they finished building the underpass though, because the traffic has built up a lot since the Eat-Pray-Love movie. Sigh.

I was the top PSLE girl in my primary school day and I remembered walking to school alone to collect my results. I am now considering whether to let my DD go alone LOL…

After looking at the Henry Park Prelims Math 2011 Paper 2, I felt that it was set at a rather difficult level. I am thinking this might be done in order to offset the Paper 1 which was super easy. Any views anyone? My DD was quite disheartened by Paper 2…

I am contemplating getting one too! It's quite expensive right? Not sure if worth it to get for my maid to iron as I am not the one ironing. Hmmmmm....

Also, how to decide between a S4 and a S7..... :?

For my DD1, her school’s reporting time is 8.10am and to be seated by 8.45am.

So sad I can’t enjoy the marking days with DD1 after her PSLE! I have DD2 whose exam dates ends 21 Oct! For those who can enjoy, why don’t book a short vacation and then followed by a longer one in Nov/Dec? So envious…
