If my daughter gets 250, I would probably be scolding her for she is usually scoring at the 90s

RE: GEP 2013 - Class Starting P4 in 2014
GiftedGem:
What school is your DD in?It is not that terrifying as you may think of. Being 1st time GEP parent as well, P4 is certainly a wake up call and P5 is accelerated at high speed with loads of projects / assignments. The mock papers come helpful and do not neglect the projects / assignments as well.
Looking at the 2.5 yrs that my DD has gone thru ( now that she is in P6 this yr ), she enjoys this GEP journey though at times, we feel hardpressed on project timeline submission. -

Today the results came out, for all GEP parents. My son failed science and english… But did very well for the other 3…

RE: 6 years old traveling alone to UK
valerie28kum:
You can tell her to not be afraid, the flight is safe, one thousand planes make it through a day it won't crash. You'll be back wih me in no time and all those comforting stuff.[color=#0000FF]Hi,
Intend to send my 6 year old girl to UK via SQ by herself to visit my parents. This is my 1st time doing this and this is a long haul flight which im really quite anxious.
Hope that you guys can share your experience in this and how to 'advise' her what to do during the flight?
:thankyou:

RE: What is your dinner?
My usual dinner is something new from http://www.allrecipes.com . It's so useful and I can learn to cook so many things there!

RE: Some students fail to thrive on Integrated Programme scheme

My dd is not disciplined in studying ie mugging but displayed high interest in out of classroom learning. So should she go into a IP school ?
She is suitable to go to one but she must change her attitude all she'll be beaten. That's what I learnt from my daughter Rosalinda (15) and my son Marcus (10). Rosalinda was hardworking and got admitted to both GEP and IP, so I thought that I could let Marcus do whatever he wanted when he got into GEP. That was my biggesr mistake. Marcus was lazy and he barely passed his math exam 35/40 (GEP says you must get 70% to pass)
Also, his compo (chinese) is flunking. Average score is 20+. Rosalinda scored 279 for PSLE and I don't think that he will ever get that high.
So yes she should but better chance his/her attitude!

RE: Lower Secondary Science
Um hi, do you guys know any good tuitions for Chemistry and Biology for IP (Interragated Programme)? My daughter Rosalinda can’t cope. Any tuition centres besides Joystick? I am already considering Joystick but I still have to think of at least 2 more to compare. Anyone knows?

RE: Unfair(?) entry into normal academic stream
FQW:
Looking at the MOE flowchart, it seemed my part time helper's dd made the wrong choice after O levels. She was accepted to poly (after my helper helped her to appeal) but chose to go ITE instead to be with boyfriend. Since ITE will eventually route back to poly, looks like she'll go one big circle.
OMG! Just for a boyfriend??? -
RE: All About Choosing Piano Schools And Teachers
I think the piano schools in singapore are: Yamaha, Christofori, Mandeville, Oppus One, Edvox…
Is there anything else?
My eldest girl goes to Christofori, my second, third and fourth all go to edvox. I think Yamaha is the best from some of my friend’s experiences but none of my children want to go to edvox so I let them if not they will have a horrible learning experience.
Oh and is there anyone else who’s daughter is halfway through diploma? PM me if yes because I want to discus about how hard diploma is.
