On 31 Dec, I have planned to volunteer to work but stopped short bec of selfishness to spend time with my family.

On 1 Jan, my sis will be preparing a feast for our family. :rahrah:

No idea what to do on 1st January yet but probably go to some nature place. Maybe Bukit Timah hill or picnic in a park?

31st Dec we have 2 services in church and in the afternoon we will spend time with our parents. I’m still finding places for good food for us. Recently we tried Genesis Vegan Restaurant. It’s affordable and nice food!

I’m counting down to last 15 years of full time work. After that it will be time to take it easy with part time tutoring and pursue other interests.


Currently also pursuing interest but not as actively. I always believe that life is not about work or family only. Kids will grow up and leave the nest. I need to have my own life with hubby. Looking forward to January where I can be on vacation with just hubby only. Feb also have a weekend away with just hubby only. Kids are used to us being away during term time without them.

i think 15yrs ..is a long way & days to me ....for frens who are near or in 50s -it will be easier /nearer to count .
TA is lucky to have healthy/active & supportive senior folks around to help you so u can pursue private time with hubby and yourself .

15 years is not long la. I will only be 50 then. Still have lots of time to enjoy life. I enjoy tutoring very much. It doesn’t feel like work to me.
Am blessed to have parents to help me with the kids.

To me no matter who the government is, it remains our responsibility to do well if we want a better lifestyle. Think about why some people do much better than others. How successful people spend their time?


There is no point being unhappy with things we can’t change. Focus on self development is more worth our time.

We cannot be living in the past. Hope u understand my point. The past is over. Look to the future. We need to continually improve to keep up with the pace. Skillsets must improve. We must not stagnate.

Many skills we can develop on our own if we just spend one hour a day upgrading. Self development.

The future is in ur hands.

Anyway dun talk about heavy stuff la! Have a great Christmas! I bought lots of gifts for my kids, church kids and my nephews. Bought them mainly in Malaysia and Mustafa. Many good deals. Less than $100 for good quality gifts for around 20 kids.

It is the matter of time GST will increase.
