I don't think anyone can advise on the odds & chances but I would suggest a few things:

1 - going to CHIJ SN open house (good chance to find the teachers and ask the questions you have)
2 - speaking with your child's teachers on her plans for DSA (most of them would be very supportive this one I am sure)
3 - start compiling her activities and include anything and everything that would demonstrate her skills in the said category

AL 9 to 12 are great scores! Good luck!

Hi, just wondering what are the chances of being successful for Leadership DSA (CHIJ St Nicks), if my child is holding the position of Lead NE ambassador? She’s involved in many school wide activities, such as being emcee for various school events, being 1 of the 2 in the whole school to be selected for interview with Minister during school visits, and also responsible with sharing current affairs to the school.

Academics wise, I don’t think she can score in the low single digit, she is somewhere between AL 9-12, and also not in the prefectorial board.

Ronaldo, HM Son all not born rich but look where there are now, hehe. Yes rich will always have their advantage but we should live life, let our children enjoy their youth, play the sports they love or excel at what they do best. Some of them realise their potential in school, some much later in life.


Please know the strength of your child and what they like best. Looking forward to exciting updates for DSA 2024, especially the open houses and other sharing.

They could decide to take the additional seats given its not too big a number. But its really case by case basis & there is no hard & fast rule too whether it is principal sch board or anyones decision we won’t know too


Montfort Jr has 39 seats - 5 (1km) 23 (1-2km) 13 (2km)

Over by 2 but Admin said all are in which means additional 2 seats the sch has never been oversubscribed in any phase before

if i do grassroots volunteer in my area can I still get MP recommendation for a school outside my area?

I’m staying within 1km of Rosyth & will most likely be in phase 2c. Anyone knows the breakdown & if anyone had to go ballot within 1km for 2c? Dragon baby next year registering, super nervous already xo
