Yes! But my hubby do take it out since he's in the events line and it gets pretty inconvenient for him. :faint: When I was expecting my first, my fingers swelled so much that I couldn't wear my rings at all! And I avoided wearing during my child's first year as well, to prevent my rings from scratching him
Now I'm expecting my second, hopefully I will be able to keep my rings on!

RE: All About Part-Time Maids
Hi everyone! I'm currently thinking about hiring either a full-time or part-time maid, since I have a 5yo boy and am expecting my second next year. :rahrah: It's a girl! Heehee. I'm not staying with my parents nor in-laws, so there won't be anyone to help me take care of them. Childcare seems to be really expensive, so I was thinking if having a maid would be lighter financially. Any advice from parents?

RE: Renewal of maid without agent.. how..pls advice.
Hello there everyone, it seemed like it's really quiet here too haha. But anyway, just would like to share a little since I used to be with MOM!
Technically it is not necessary to go through agent for renewal of work permit, it can be done without repatriating her back but do ensure that her work permit is still valid then. If it has already expired, i'm pretty sure that on her way back she might be required to pay a sum of money for staying in Singapore without a valid work permit.
For those who are not IT savvy, you can just simply give MOM hotline a call and they will guide you through the entire process. I don't remember how much it costs, but it is ALOT lesser than what the agents charge you. When I was working there, I was also advising the employers to do the renewal and even application by themselves. It is THAT easy, and cheap.
